4 Technical Descriptions
4.1.
Network Camera
4.1.1.
CPU Block
CPU (IC101)
Operating Power Supply: 3.3 V (for I/O) 1.2 V (for Core)
Package: 344 pin LGA
Outline of Operation: The LSI component encodes image signals input by a camera to JPEG or MPEG format and distributes
data to a terminal connected to an IPv4 or IPv6 network using a network server function realized by software processing in a
built-in processor. 
CMOS sensor (IC201) and Real Time Clock IC (IC3) are accessed by I2C I/F. Ethernet PHY (IC171) is accessed by MII (Media
Independent Interface) I/F.
FLASH MEMORY (IC102)
Operating Power Supply: 3.3 V
Package: 48 pin Ball CSP
Capacity: 64 Mbit
Access Time: 60 ns
Outline of Operation: Stores programs for CPU operation, MAC address and customer setup data. Version up is available from
Ethernet I/F.
SDRAM (IC103/IC104)
Operating Power Supply: 3.3 V
Package: 54 pin TSOP
Capacity: 64 Mbit
Outline of Operation: Stores the memory for CPU work and temporary saved images.
RESET IC (IC105)
Reset voltage: 2.9 V 
Package: 4 pin SOP
Outline of Operation: When 3.3 V power starts up, it emits about 150 ms reset pulse after detecting 2.9 V.
FACTORY DEFAULT RESET button(SW101)
Outline of Operation: It is possible to bring back the setting value of a Network camera to a factory-shipments state, when you
push.
4.1.2.
LAN Block
Consists of IC101 (CPU), IC171 (ETHER-PHY), T1 (Trans) and CN171 (RJ45).
T1 (Trans) insulates sets and Ethernet.
IC101 (CPU) and IC171 (ETHER-PHY) are connected by a signal called MIIBus which it makes it possible to transmit/receive
Ethernet data.
IC171 has Auto Negotiation Function which changes 10BASE-T or 100BASE-TX automatically.
Transmitting Operation
Electric signal from IC101 is changed to Ethernet data on IC171 and it is sent through T1 from CN171.
Receiving Operation
Ethernet data from CN171 is change to electrical signal on IC171 and it is received by IC101.
Besides the previously mentioned Ethernet data, CN171 includes power from an AC adaptor (9VDC) and external sensor signal
input from a stand unit.

4.1.3.
RTC Block
Real Time Clock (IC3)
Operating Power Supply: 3.3 V (3 V battery for back up)
Package: 4 pin SOP
Outline of Operation: Clock data is saved and time data is imported from the CPU (IC101) when the system is booted. 
Backup Battery provides power when power supply is out.
Lithium Battery (BAT1)
Output Voltage: 3 V
Capacity: 190 mAh
Outline of Operation: A backup power supply for Real Time Clock (IC3).
4.1.4.
CMOS Block
The CMOS image sensor is contained in a single chip that integrates the sensor optical receiver with the digital image signal pro-
cessing.
The device is equipped with a micro lens that enhances sensitivity for each individual pixel. Optical energy is converted to analog
voltage and then converted to a digital signal by a 10-bit AD converter.
Pixel optical reception voltage signals converted to digital signals are converted to digital color image signals by the digital signal
processor (DSP) and YUV are sequentially output in 8 bit wide format together with PCLK, VD and HD signals for timing interface.
The DSP is equipped with AE (Auto Iris) and AWB (Auto White Balance) functions whereby the signals are controlled automatically
by algorithm within the chip.
The register of the CMOS image sensor is set by the I2C bus of IC101 (CPU).

4.1.5.
LED Block
Power LED control circuit
The power LED is controlled by the CPU (IC101) and is input to the LED control circuit. 
(3-color LEDs are used.)
4.1.6.
Audio Block
The audio circuit included the internal MIC terminal (MIC321). The internal MIC (MIC321) is connected with the PCM codec
(IC321).

Power Supply Voltage: 3.3 V
Clock Frequency: Contains a built-in PLL function and generates a clock from the BCLK (256 KHz).
That contains an amplifier, LPF, gain adjustment, AD/DA converter, host I/F, PCM serial I/F.

Power Supply Block
Power Supply Block provides power that each block consumes.
Power is input to the network camera by 9VDC/750mA AC adaptor via power unit. Network camera input voltage is reduced by
cable loss. (BL-C101 only)
