2-7.  AUDIO SYSTEM ADJUSTMENTS
• For the adjustment of the audio system, perform in the SP mode if
there is no special notes. Use the alignment tape.
• Adjust both LCH and RCH.

2-7-1.  AF Switching Position Adjustment (RP-213 Board)
[Adjustment Object]
To adjust the link of the Ach and Bch of the tape playback outputs.
If this specification is not satisfied, the noise will increase and cracking
sounds will be produced.

[Adjusting Method]
1) Playback the alignment tape. short the adjustment land JL207
(MA-283 board) to the ground for 300 msec or more to enter the
RF SWP adjustment mode.
2) Verify that "AD RF xx (xx : data value)" are indicated on the
display tube.
3) Press REC button.
4) Verify that "AD HF xx (xx : data value)" are indicated on the
display tube.
5) Use  PROGRAM +/–  buttons to adjust so that the portion A is
minimized.
6) Press  PAUSE  and write the data.

(oscilloscope, etc) with high input resistance (1MΩ or more)
and low capacity (10pF or less).

3) Adjust RV521 so as to obtain 1400±1kHz.
4) Set  TRACKING  button on the remote commander to MANUAL.

1) Supply a signal of 400Hz, –27.5dBs to Audio Line Input.
2) Connect the audio level meter to the Audio Line Output.
3) Adjust the attenuator so that the audio level meter will indicate
–27.5dBs.
4) Make recording in the SP mode.
5) Set an audio line input signal to 7kHz and make recording.
6) Playback a recorded portion, and measure output levels at 400Hz
and 7kHz.
7) Confirm that the 7kHz playback output levels within a range of
the 400Hz playback output level 0±3dB.
