ADJUSTMENTS
8-1.  MECHANICAL ADJUSTMENTS
For the procedures how to adjust and check the mechanism, as well
as how to replace mechanical parts, refer to the VHS Mechanical
Adjustment Manual IV (H MECHANISM) (9-973-623-11).
However, for the procedures how to see the Track Shift mode, refer
to the following text.
8-2.  ELECTRICAL ADJUSTMENTS
See the adjusting part location diagram from on page 8-12 for
the adjustment.
2-1.  PREPARATION BEFORE ADJUSTMENT
2-1-1.  Equipment Required
The measuring instruments used for this alignment include:
[Instruments for Use]
1)

2-1-3.  Check of Input Signal
Because the video signal obtained from the pattern generator is used
as the adjustment signal for the adjustment, the video output signal is
required to satisfy the specified value.
Connect the oscilloscope to the picture input terminal (terminal board).
And check that the synchronizing signal amplitude of the video
signal is approximately 0.3V, the amplitude of the picture part is
approximately 0.7V, the amplitude of the burst signal is approximately
0.3V and is flat, and the ratio of level between the burst signal and
the “red” signal is 0.33 : 0.66. The video signal (color bar) used for
the adjustment is shown in the fig. 8-2-2.

2-2.  SERVICE MODE
2-2-1.  Setting the Service Mode
The service mode consists of the adjustment mode which adjusts the
EVR and the test mode which shows the condition of the unit.
The unit can be set into the test mode and adjustment mode by
connecting the adjusting remote commander (Set the HOLD switch
to "HOLD").
1) Shifting to the service mode using the adjusting remote commander

2) Adjusting remote commander connecting procedure.
SLV-AV100 series does not have the LANC jack for LANC adjusting remote commander. When adjusting, connect the LANC  jig
    (J-6090-051-A) to CN907 on MA-283 board.
Note:
When connecting or disconnecting LANC jig to CN907 on MA-283 board, first
connect the adjusting remote commander to the jack on LANC jig before
connecting LANC jig to CN907.
Connection or disconnection of the adjusting remote commander in the condition
LANC jig is connected to CN907 causes IC link to damage itself.
2-2-2. Page F Data Modification
The data (initial data) that is automatically written on page F after
the initialization of the page F data will differ according to micro
processor versions. Change the data by manual input, and arrange it.
Note 1:
When changing the data, to write the data to the non-volatile
memory, press the PAUSE button of the adjusting remote
control unit every time the new data is set.
