1.
Input a Phillips pattern.
2.
Set the picture control to minimum.
3.
Enter into the ‘Picture Adjustment’ service menu.
4.
Adjust the ‘Sub-Brightness’ data so that there is barely a 
difference between the 0 IRE and 10 IRE signal levels.
1.
Input a video that contains a small 100% area on a black 
background.
2.
Set the picture control to maximum.
3.
Connect an oscilloscope to Pin 3 of CN301 [A Board].
4.
Enter into the ‘Picture Adjustment’ service menu.
5.
Adjust the ‘Sub-contrast’ data to obtain a black to white 
amplitude of 2.20V.
1.
Receive a PAL colour bar video signal.
2.
Connect an oscilloscope to Pin 3 of CN301 [A Board].
3.
Enter into the ‘Picture Adjustment’ service menu.
4.
Adjust the ‘Sub-colour’ data so that the Cyan, Magenta and 
Blue colour bars are of equal height 
as indicated 
below.
Note:
The data indicated in the ‘TV STATUS’ table is
dependant on destination, screen size and country.

1.
Input an off air signal of between 60-100dBuV / 75 ohm 
terminated, via the tuner socket.
2.
Enter into the ‘IF Adjustment’ service mode [i.e ‘TT59’] to fix 
the I.F frequency to 39.9MHz.
3.
Enter into the service mode and select ‘Current TV status’.
4.
Adjust the I.F coil [LV01] until the ‘AFT Status’ indicates a 
‘Window’ condition.
1.
Receive a signal of 63dBuV / 75 ohm terminated, via the tuner 
socket.
2.
Measure the voltage at test point 1 [A Board].
3.
Adjust RV01 control to obtain a voltage of 3.0V +/- 0.3V.
1.
Enter into the ‘Geometry Adjustment’ service menu.
2.
Select and adjust each item in order to obtain the optimum 
image.
