3-3. H/V CENTER CONFIRMATION AND AD-
JUSTMENT
Please check the picture horizontal/vertical center after the re-
placement of the following parts .
• Optical block
• Top assembly
1, Check H/V center with 480i monoscope signal in “Full “
mode .
2, If the center is shifted , adjust it with the following service items .
3-3-1. Adjustment
Note: Be sure to adjust in PAL and NTSC modes.
1. Feed PAL monoscope signal.
2. DISPLAY  
t   5   t   VOL (+)   t   TV POWER
3. Picture Position Adjustment
Press  JUMP  button twice to display the panel service mode.
Select ' 1 TG'.
By pressing '1' key, select Sub item 35 POB_ENA.
By pressing '6' key, change data to '0'.

3-2. TEST RESET
The user settings can be reset to the factory default condition as
follows.
1. Service Adjustment mode. (Refer to item 3-1-1.)
   It puts it into the state that "TVM Service Menu" is displayed.
   (If it is after the adjustment etc., it returns it to the picture of
TVM with the JUMP key.)
2. 8 --> MUTING --> 0
   The picture is muted, Test Reset is excuted, and all LED lights.
3. After turning off power, the AC plug is pulled out once, and
insert it again in five seconds or more.
4. When turning on power, the picture of Time Setup is displayed.

3-4. REGISTRATION ADJUSTMENT
1. Set the service mode to DEM.
2. Display the crosshatch of Test Pattern (see below 1)).
3. Observe the crosshatch, in case of finding out the color is out
of order up or down/right or left, adjust its registration of color
(see below 2)).
R, G, B colors can be adjusted separately.
Note: Don't shift the green.
Adjust the red or blue color to green.
Adjusting color shifts up or down/right or left entirely on the
screen.
Adjustable range: Up or down; 1 
± 1 line
                             Right or left; 2 
± 2 dots
1) Crosshatch Pattern Displaying Procedure
• Select '5 TEST_PAT' in PANEL service menu.
• Select '2 PAT_ENB' in its sub menu and set the data 0 to 1.
• Select '4 MODE' in its sub menu and set the data 0 to 4.
  The crosshatch pattern appears on the screen.
2) Shifting Procedure
[Up or Down]
• Select '1 TG' in PANEL service menu.
• Select '25 VSFT_R' (shifting Red) or '27 VSFT_B' (shifting
Blue) in its sub menu and set the data 0, 1 or 2 to the best.
(Center value: 1)
[Right or Left]
• Select '1 TG' in PANEL service menu.
• Confirm '0 H_SHIFT' data is 0 in its sub menu.
• Select '1 HSIFTR' (shifting Red) or '3 HSIFTB' (shifting
Blue) in its sub menu and set the data 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4 to the best.

3-5. HOW TO UPDATE FIRMWARE BY
MEMORY STICK
It is necessory to update the firmware by Memory Stick in case of
replacing followings.
• AG board
• B2 board
• FXE board
Prepare the Memory Stick only for the repaired model and per
form the firmware update in the order given below.
• A-1220-507-A
MS (KDS-60R2000 TOOL)
1. Start Download

Turn on power to Projector, and confirm that the picture
comes out.
2
Power off with commander.
3
Pull out the AC cable, and insert Memory Stick.
4
Put AC cable in, and turn on power.
Note:In about 1 minute of the start, the behavior
of the set is the same as normal because of
upgrading EMMA.
2. During Update
Note:The written time is a standard, If each
upgrading version is the same or older, Skip
upgrading.
3. After upgrading, TV-Micro REBOOT and reset all micro.
4. Confirm the end of download and pull out Memory Stick

After upgrading, Projector reboots automatically, and
confirm that OSD appears.

AC Off.

Pull out Memory Stick after that.
4
AC On.
5. End it correctly once the update begin.
1
When there are some troubles during upgrading, do AC
cable OFF/ON with the same Memory Stick still inserted,
and try to upgrade again.
2
TV set does not work correctly when Memory Stick is
pulled out while upgrading it.
