SECTION 1:  DISASSEMBLY
1-1.  REAR COVER REMOVAL
1-1-1.  KDL-40/46XBR9 REAR COVER REMOVAL
1   Remove 8 screws from Rear Cover 
2   Remove 1 screw from Side Jack position
3   Remove 1 screw from Terminal position
4   Remove 4 screws near the VESA positions
5   Remove 3 screws from Bottom Frame positions
6   Carefully lift the Rear Cover bottom side up and rotate toward top side
7   Release from clamps and remove Rear Cover from Front Cabinet Assembly
NOTE: 
The Rear Cover is attached to Front Cabinet Assembly with small clamps.  
 
  
Use caution when removing the Rear Cover not to damage these clamps.
 
  
To re-install the Rear Cover, press to lock the clamps into positions.

1   Remove 14 screws from Rear Cover 
2   Remove 1 screw from Side Jack position
3   Remove 1 screw from Terminal position
4   Remove 4 screws near the VESA positions
5   Remove 4 screws from Bottom Frame positions
6   Carefully lift the Rear Cover bottom side up and rotate toward top side
7   Release from clamp and remove Rear Cover from Front Cabinet Assembly
NOTE: 
The Rear Cover is attached to Front Cabinet Assembly with a small clamp.  
 
  
Use caution when removing the Rear Cover not to damage this clamp.
 
  
To re-install the Rear Cover, press to lock the clamp into positions.

1   Push Point A as shown and rotate Switch Unit clockwise to release the hook 
from Front Cabinet Assembly. 
2   Push Point B as shown and rotate Switch Unit counterclockwise to release 
the hook from Front Cabinet Assembly. 
3   Disconnect 1 connector from Switch Unit

1   Disconnect 5 connectors from D2N/D4N Board
2   Remove 2 screws from D2N/D4N Board 
3   Unhook Side Jack from Main BU board position
4   Disconnect 5 connectors from BU Board 
5   Remove 8 screws from BU Board
6   Disconnect 7 connectors from G7N Board

7   Remove 2 screws from G7N Board 
(KDL-46/52XBR9 ONLY)
8   Disconnect 7 connectors from G6N Board 
(KDL-40XBR9 ONLY)
9   Remove 4 screws from G6N Board 
(KDL-40XBR9 ONLY)
10   Disconnect 4 connectors from D1N Board 
(KDL-40/46XBR9 ONLY)
 
Disconnect 5 connectors from D3N Board 
(KDL-52XBR9 ONLY)
11   Remove 2 screws from D1N/D3N Board
