2-6.  Panel Driver Gain B Adjustment
Preparation
Set Picture Mode to “Cinema” and make the following settings.
Contrast: 100
Bright: 50
Color: 50
Hue: 50
Color Temp: Custom4
Advanced Iris: OFF
Color Space: Wide
Adjustment
(1)  Input the XGA 60 Hz blue only 100 IRE signal in the INPUT-A terminal.
(2)  Set the Panel Driver: 03 P. Drv/Gain B value to “102”.
(3)  While measuring luminance at the center of the screen, decrease the 03 P. Drv/Gain B value. Check 
the value of the 03 P. Drv/Gain B value when luminance reaches maximum.
(4)  Save the 03 P. Drv/Gain B value of step (3) in a memory.
(5)  Perform “Save to Memory”.

2-7-1. Preparation
Required Equipment/Tools
.  Personal computer (PC): RS-232C interface equipped
.  RS-232C cross cable
.  Main Flash upgrader for Sony Projector (for SUB CPU)
.  Pixelworks FlashUpgrader (for scan converter)
.  3DGamma QuickAccess (for LookUpTable/3DGamma/ABGamma/DDC/OGMTable/CSMatrixTable)

For obtaining the each application for upgrading and upgrade fi le, contact your local Sony Sales Offi ce/
Service Center.
Preparation
1.  Set Standby Mode to “Standard” on the Setup menu.

When the Standby Mode is not set to standard, the upgrade is failed.
2.  Disconnect the AC plug of this unit.
3.  Connect PC to the REMOTE terminal on the connector panel of this unit using the RS-232C cross 
cable.

2-7-2.  SUB CPU Upgrade
1.  Double-click Flash.exe to start the application.
Application name: 
Main Flash upgrader for Sony Projector
Execution fi le name:  Flash.exe

When starting the application fi rst, the following errors may appear. But, continue the procedure.
 
“No. 300:  No information fi le was found.”
 
“No. 711:  No download fi le was found.”
2. Click 
the 
[Select] button to select download information fi le.
 The 
fi le open window appears.
3.  Select the download information fi le.
 
File to be selected: hh2v
****.dli
 
(
**** means version number. Example: hh2v001a.dli)
4. Click 
the 
[Setting] button of the “Com.”.
5.  Set the following items.
Bit rate: 
38,400 bit/s
Serial port: Serial port number used for connecting PC
Time out:  Arbitrary (Communication retrial time. default: 5 sec.)
6.  Select “User Program Mode”.
7. Click 
the 
[Start] button.
 
The start window appears.
8. Click 
the 
[OK] button.
 
The “Please AC Plug In” window appears.
9. Connect 
the 
AC 
plug.
10. Comfi rm the Standby Mode is set to “Standard”. (Refer to “Preparation” in Section 2-7-1.)
11. Click the [OK] button.
 
The writing starts and the write window appear.
12.  The end window appears. (Upgrade completed)

2-7-3.  Scan Converter Upgrade
1.  Connect the AC plug and set this unit to standby state.
2. Comfi rm the Standby Mode is set to “Standard”. (Refer to “Preparation” in Section 2-7-1.)
3.  Double-click FlashUpgraderForSony35.exe to start the application.
Application name: 
Pixelworks FlashUpgrader
Execution fi le name:  FlashUpgraderForSony35.exe
Version: 
3.5 or later
4.  Select the COM port to COM port number used for connecting PC.
5.  Select the Baud Rate to “115200”.
6. Click 
the 
[Choose...] button.
 The 
fi le selection window appears.
7.  Select the upgrade fi le.
 
File to be selected: pw0p
****.inf

**** means version number. Example: pw0p100a.inf)
8.  Check that the two hex fi les appear on the Files To Download fi eld.
9. Click 
the 
[Ext|_|232C|PW|_|1] button.
10. Click the [Flash] button.
 
The upgrading starts and the status bar appears. And the [Flash] button changes to the [Cancel] 
button.
11.  After completed, check that the [Cancel] button changes to the [Flash] button.
12. Disconnect the AC plug.
