Adjustment Required When Replacing
Thermal Printer Or Board
The head voltage needs to be adjusted when the “Thermal Printer”
or “MAIN PWB ASSY SERVICE” or “POWER PWB ASSY,
SERVICE” is replaced.

Head Voltage Adjustment
Preparation:
Write down the numerical value (head voltage) written on the la-
bel of the HEAD section of the thermal printer.
Example) 17.58
Adjustment Procedure:
1) Plug the AC adaptor attached to the set into the DC IN 24V
terminal on the rear panel of the set and insert the power cord
into the socket.
2) All of the LEDs on the operation panel light up for three to
five seconds.
3) After confirming that the LEDs have turned off, press the
[MENU] button, the [ENTER] button, and the [PRINT] but-
ton simultaneously.
4) After the Test Mode screen is displayed, select “Mecha Test.”

5) Next, select “Head Power” and turn the output for the head
voltage ON.

4.  ADJUSTMENT
6) Connect the minus lead of the digital voltmeter to the GND
hole as shown in Fig. 4-3.

7) Connect the plus lead of the digital voltmeter to the HDR land
and measure the head voltage.

8) Use a ceramic screwdriver to turn the head voltage adjustment
variable resistor (VR1) to adjust the head voltage to the value
you wrote down in the preparation step.
Note:
If the voltage is lowered, it may take some time for the
voltage to change.

9) Repeat steps 6) through 8) to adjust the head voltage to within
a tolerance of 
± 0.1 V.
10) Once head voltage adjustment has been completed, select
“Head Power” and turn the output of the head voltage OFF.
11) Press the 1 (Power) button to end Test Mode.
12) Print and check the print results.
Note:
When printing, please pay attention to the amount of
space in the back so as not to block the paper outlet
behind the set.
(Either print with the photo frame part laid on its side
or print while holding it in your hand.)
