LCD/EVF Adjustment
[Automatic Adjustment Program execution items and
sequence]
1. Data Setting during LCD/EVF Adj.
2. LCD/EVF Automatic Adj.
(VCO Adj. (LCD/EVF), Contrast Adj. (LCD/EVF))
3. White Balance Adj. (EVF)
4. V-COM Adj. (LCD)
5. Transmissive Mode White Balance Adj. (LCD)
6. Reflective Mode White Balance Adj. (LCD)
7. Touch Panel Adj. 1
8. Touch Panel Adj. 2
9. Release of Data Setting during LCD/EVF Adj.
[Adjusting method]
1) Select the model (NTSC Model or PAL Model) with the Model
Select radio button.
Note:
NTSC model: DCR-DVD203/DVD703
PAL model: DCR-DVD202E/DVD203E/DVD703E
2) Click the 
[Start]
 button of the LCD/EVF Adjustment.
3) The Automatic Adjustment Program executes the “1. Data
Setting during LCD/EVF Adj.” and “2. LCD/EVF Automatic
Adj.”.
4) If “2. LCD/EVF Automatic Adj.” completed successfully, the
following screen is displayed during the execution of  “3. White
Balance Adj. (EVF)”. Check that the EVF screen is not col-
ored. If colored, using the 
[Up]
 / 
[Down]
 button on the screen,
adjust so that the EVF screen is not colored. After the adjust-
ment, click the 
[End]
 button in the screen.
5) If the 
[End]
 button is clicked, the following screen is displayed
during the execution of “4. V-COM Adj. (LCD)”. Using the
[Up]
 / 
[Down]
 button on the screen, adjust so that the bright-
ness of portions A and B on the LCD panel is equal. After the
adjustment, click the 
[End]
 button in the screen.
6) If the 
[End]
 button is clicked, the following screen is displayed
during the execution of “5. Transmissive Mode White Balance
Adj. (LCD)”. Check that the LCD screen is not colored. If
colored, using the 
[Up]
 / 
[Down]
 button on the screen, adjust
so that the LCD screen is not colored. After the adjustment,
click the 
[End]
 button in the screen.
7) If the 
[End]
 button is clicked, “6. Reflective Mode White Bal-
ance Adj. (LCD)” will be executed.

8) Upon successful completion of the “6. Reflective Mode White
Balance Adj. (LCD)”, “7. Touch Panel Adj. 1” will be executed.
The following message is displayed, and then adjust the LCD
screen in accordance with the instructions given on the screen.
After the adjustment, click the 
[OK]
  button in the message
window.
9) If the 
[OK]
 button is clicked, “8. Touch Panel Adj. 2” and “9.
Release of Data Setting during LCD/EVF Adj.” will be ex-
ecuted.
10) Upon successful completion of all item the LCD/EVF Adjust-
ment, the following message is displayed. Click the 
[OK]

3) Record the signal.
4) Remove the input signal.
5) Playback the recorded section.
6) Check that the 400 Hz signal level is the specified value.
7) Select page: 3, address: E2, set data: 00, and press the PAUSE
button.

button.
