SPECIAL  MENU  MODE
Various version displays of system, update, test, etc. can be performed.
Setting method:
1.  Press the [
?/1
] button to turn on the main power.
2.  While pressing the [TONE MODE] button, press the [A.F.D.], [2CH/A. DIRECT], [MUSIC], [MOVIE/HD-D.C.S.] button in order, the 
message “SPECIALIZE” appears.
3.  Press the [AMP MENU] button of the remote commander, the message “< SPECIAL >” appears.
4.  Press the [
,
] button of the remote commander, the item is appears.
5.  Each time the [
M
] or [
m
] buttons of the remote commander is pressed, the item is switched in order of “Display of special menu mode”.
 
Some items can change the content. Display the cursor by pressing the [
,
] button of the remote commander, and changing the content 
by pressing the [
M
] or [
m
] buttons of the remote commander, and fi x the content by pressing the [
<
] button of the remote commander 
when you want to change the content of the item.
Releasing method:
To release from this mode, while pressing the [TONE MODE] button, press the [A.F.D.], [2CH/A. DIRECT], [MUSIC], [MOVIE/HD-
D.C.S.] button in order again, the message “MENU SPECIALIZE OFF” appears, and this mode is released.

Network update check
LINE CHECK
When [,] button on the remote commander is pressed, the 
message “START ?” is appears. If the [
] button of the remote 
commander is pressed, check is started. The signal path for 
update is checked without connecting to network.
When all the checking results are OK, this unit is rebooted 
about 2 minutes after.
When the checking results are NG, the NG factors are dis-
played.

ELECTRICAL  ADJUSTMENTS
BIAS  ALIGNMENT  ADJUSTMENT
(AEP and UK models)
Note: After 10 minutes or more have passed since the power supply was 
turned on, this adjustment is done.

Procedure:
1.  Connect a digital voltmeter to the CN4016 (CN4017, CN4018, 
CN4019, CN4020, CN4021, CN4022).
2.  Press the [\/1] button to turn on the main power.
3.  Adjust the RV400 (RV470, RV500, RV570, RV600, RV670, 
RV700) so that the digital voltmeter reading is 5 mV to 20 mV. 
Note: Adjust for the digital voltmeter reading to become 5 mV as much as 
possible.

VIDEO  CALIBRATION  ADJUSTMENT
Adjustment to decide the standard of the video input signal.
Note: After replacing D-VIDEO board, perform this adjustment.
1. Adjustment jig
The color pattern generator that can output 100% in NTSC/PAL/
HD color bar signal to the component and the composite at the 
same time is necessary for the adjustment.
When there is no color pattern generator, it is possible to substitute 
it by the Blu-ray Disc player that can output the component termi-
nal and the video terminal at the same time (Substitution model 
name example: BDP-S350).
However, please do the following signal output confi rmation with 
the oscilloscope beforehand when substituting it with the Blu-ray 
Disc player.
