1-3-1. Party chain
5
With Party chain function, all the connected systems can output the source system’s sound without sound delay.
Source sound system is called “Party Host”. Other connected system are “Party Guests”.
If all systems can support Party chain, please connect them with loop connection as below (A).
If one model doesn’t support Party chain, please connect with linear connection as below (B).

1-3-2. Party chain
If all systems can support Party chain, Party Host can be changed automatically by setting Party chain with another set.
1. When “Party chain” is started with panel key input, the system become “Party host” and starts to output
1. When “Party chain” is started with panel key input, the system become “Party host” and starts to output
DC 1V as Party host
to AUDIO OUT.
By detecting this DC voltage, the connected system changes to “Party Guest” mode and starts to output
DC2V as Party guest
.
This sound signal with DC voltage sets all the systems to Party chain mode. (1-3 in the figure below)
“Party Guest” ignores any command except volume and sound field and flashes error message of “PARTY CHAIN” on display.

“Party Guest” passes through the input signal to output
terminal basically. And, when the original “Party Host” detects
this DC1V input, the system changes to “Party Guest”. Then,

this DC1V input, the system changes to “Party Guest”. Then,

By this operation, “Party Host” can be changed.
“Party Guest” passes through the input signal to output
terminal directly to prevent sound delay.
“Party Host” delays the output signal to another sets to
prevent sound delay occurs between “Party Host” and “Party
Guest”.
Therefore, the system which includes Party chain must be
Party Host. And, Party host cannot select AUDIO IN function
to prevent loop oscillation.
When Party chain ends, “Party host” stops DC voltage output.
With this connection, please be noted AUDIO IN is not used.
