Test Mode of Remote Commander (RM-RW1)
The Test mode is used for board adjustment. In the Test mode, the
output of IC701 4 pin on the TX board varies.
Test Mode Setting Method:
1. Solder-bridge the TP-1 on the TX board (short IC701 2 pin
and 3 pin).
2. Apply the power (DC 3 V) to the set.
3. Short instantaneously the IC701 0 pin (RESET) on TX board
to the ground, so that the Test mode becomes active.
4. In the Test mode, the operation is as follows:
• Snooze data are sent successively, when
[SNOOZE/SLEEP OFF]
 button (S704) is pressed.
• Low (0 V) power is output, when
[CD      ]
 button (S701) is
pressed.
• High (3 V) power is output, when
[RADIO/SLEEP]
 button
(S702) is pressed.
• Low (0 V) is output or data transmission is stopped, when
[OFF/ALARM RESET]
 button (S703) is pressed.
Test Mode Releasing Method:
1. Turn the power OFF, then remove the solder bridge on TP-1
which was made in step 1 of Test Mode Setting Method.
2. Thus, the set can operate as usual.

Connection:
Adjustment Method:
1. Set the Test Mode.  (See page 14)
2. Press the
[SNOOZE/SLEEP OFF]
 button (S704).
3. Rotating the RV701, adjust the degree of modulation so that
the modulation meter value is in a range from 60 kHz to 85
kHz.
4. Press the
[RADIO/SLEEP]
 button (S702).
5. Rotating the L701, adjust the shift frequency HIGH so that the
modulation meter indicates the frequency shift in a range from
312.53 MHz to 312.545 MHz.
6. Press the
[CD       ]
 button (S701).
7. Confirm that the shift frequency LOW at this time is in a range
from 312.455 MHz to 312.47 MHz.
8. Repeat steps 2 – 7.

IF Adjustment
Connection:
Adjustment Method:
1. Connect an oscilloscope to the test point IF IN (HOT) of RX
board.
2. Apply DC 5 V from external power supply to the 2 pin of
connector (BH601) on the RX board.
3. Adjust T601 so that the waveform becomes maximum and tar-
get form.
4. Confirm that the waveform is as shown in Fig. 1.
