TEST  MODE
HOW TO ENTER THE SERVICE MODE
Note: The operation of the button of the following test mode is only a 
remote commander.
Procedure:
1.  Press [
?/1
] button to turn the power on.
2.  Press the button in order of [TUNER] 
 [RETURN]  [EN-
TER] 
hold [SHIFT] button ([0]  [1]  [0]) [SOUND 
FIELD +]
3.  The message “SERVICE” appears.
4.  Press [ENTER] 
 hold [SHIFT] button ([X]*[X]*) 
[ENTER], selected test mode will activated. *[X] refer to 
test code.
5.  Press [AMP MENU] 
 [DISPLAY] to return to “SERVICE” 
menu. Repeat step 4 to re-enter test mode.
6.  Repeat step 2 to turn off service menu.
1. VERSION 
Procedure:
1.  While still in the Service Mode, press [AMP MENU] 
 [DIS-
PLAY] to return to “SERVICE” menu. 
2.  Press [ENTER] 
 hold [SHIFT] button ([0]  [3])  [EN-
TER].
3.  The message of model name, destination, and software version 
are displayed.
4.  Each time press [DISPLAY] button, the message “H.VER 
x.xx” and “SVER x.xx” appear one after another and return to 
model name, destination, and software version.
2. SHIPMENT
All preset contents are cleared when this mode is activated. Use 
this mode before returning the product to clients upon completion 
of repair.
Procedure:
1.  While still in the Service Mode, press [AMP MENU] 
 [DIS-
PLAY] to return to “SERVICE” menu.
2.  Press [ENTER] 
 hold [SHIFT] button ([1]  [2])  [EN-
TER]
3.  The message “CLEARED” appears, the set turns off.
3.  FL CHECK
1.  While still in the Service Mode, press [AMP MENU] 
 [DIS-
PLAY] to return to “SERVICE” menu.
2.  Press [ENTER]

3.  ALL segments light on.

4.  HISTORY MODE
1.  While still in the Service Mode, press [AMP MENU] 
 [DIS-
PLAY] to return to “SERVICE” menu. 
2.  Press [ENTER] 
 hold [SHIFT] button ([1]  [3])  [EN-
TER].
3.   The message “HISTORY” appears.
4.  Each time the [
]/[] button on the remote commander is 
pressed, the item is switched in order as follows.

5.  KEY CHECK
Procedure:
1.  While still in the Service Mode, press [AMP MENU] 
 [DIS-
PLAY] to return to “SERVICE” menu.
2.  Press [ENTER] 
hold [SHIFT] button (EN-
TER].
3.  The message “REST 03” appears. “REST 03” value decrease 
whenever a button on the set is pressed. However, once a but-
ton has been pressed, it is no longer taken into account. All 
buttons on the set is pressed, “REST 00” is displayed.
6.  SP OUT (MIC Test)
Procedure:
1.  While still in the Service Mode, press [AMP MENU] 
 [DIS-
PLAY] to return to “SERVICE” menu. 
2.  Press [ENTER] 
 hold [SHIFT] button ([1]  [8])  [EN-
TER].
3.  The message “MIC” appears.
4.  Repeat step 1 and 2 to toggle between “MIC” and “SOURCE”.
 
SOURCE : normal mode
 
MIC IN : mode that output audio from mic input.
INITIALIZE
1.  Turn off the receiver.
2.  Hold the [
?/1
] for 5 seconds.
3.  The message “CLEARING” appears on the display.
4.  After a few seconds, “CLEARED” appears.

ELECTRICAL  CHECK
FM  AUTO  STOP  CHECK

Procedure:
1.  Turn on the set.
2.  Input the following signal from signal generator to FM antenna 
input directly.
Carrier frequency : A = 87.5 MHz, B = 98 MHz, C = 108 MHz
Deviation 
: 75 kHz
Modulation 
: 1 kHz
ANT input 
: 35 dBu (EMF)
Note: Use 75 ohm coaxial cable to connect signal generator and the set. 
You cannot use video cable for checking.
 
Use signal generator whose output impedance is 75 ohm.
3.  Set to FM tuner function and scan the input FM signal with 
automatic scanning.
4. Confi rm that input frequency of A, B and C are detected and 
automatic scanning stops.
When the station signal is received in good condition, automatic 
scanning stops.
