No picture appears on LCD during the DTV tuner reception. (The Monitor side is to be normal.)

Checklist:

1) Is "INPUT SOURCE" button

˴on the remote control set up correctly ? ࡮࡮࡮ Set it as "DTV" with the INPUT SOURCE button

on

the remote control.

2) Is MENU-Picture-Backlight/Contrast/Brightness set to "MIN" ?

࡮࡮࡮ Set it to an appropriate level.

3) Is the level of pins (8) and (9) of tuner (TU201) at "H"?

࡮࡮࡮ These are serial communications lines (I2C) for the control. If it is "L", check

whether something pulls it to "L". (pins (A5) and (C4) of IC801)

Is the digital output signal
(FED_D/FECLK) outputted properly to
pins (48) and (50) of MB connector

Is the power fed properly to IC8101,
IC4602 and IC4804?

Recheck the power circuit.

Are the SDA1/SCL1/SDA2/SCL2 signals
of I2C fed to IC8101, while are theSDA1/
SCL1 signals and the SDA2/SCL2 signals
fed to IC4602 and IC4804, respectively?

Check to see where the I2C line
gets low.

Are the soldering and other factors of
IC8101, IC4602 and IC4804 as specified?

Repair the short-circuited spot as
required.

Replace IC8101, IC4602 or IC4804 as
required.

Is the differential output signal (HDMITX_
[0:

㧯]) outputted properly topins (1) thru

(12) of HDMI output terminal (SC4801)?

Check the HDMI cable or refer to the
Monitor Video Troubleshooting.

Check pins (4) and (2) of MB connector
(SC7901), MB harness and their
peripheral circuits.

Is the digital signal (FED_D/FECLK)
outputted from pins (9) and (4) of IC7906
(TS-SW)?

Check to see if the D5V/IF-5V/5V(CONT)
signals at pins (11), (1) and (3) as well as
the SDA/SCA signals at pins (9) and (8),
all on the tuner (TU7501), are as specified.

Is the digital signal (FED_D/FECLK)
inputted to pins (10) and (3) of
IC7906 (TS-SW)?

Is the digital signal
(FED_D_DVBS/FECLK_DVBS) outputted
from pins (21) and (22) of satellite tuner
(TU7901)?

At the time of terrestrial digital
broadcasting

Is the digital signal
(FED_D_DVBS/FECLK_DVBS) inputted
to pins (11) and (2) of IC7906 (TS-SW)?

Check the tuner (TU7501

and its peripherals

for soldering, etc. If they are all okay, replace
the terrestrial digital tuner (TU7501).

Is the IF (D1/D2) signal outputted from
pins (17) and (16) of tuner (TU7501)?

Check to see if the VDD/3.3V_T signal sat
pins (13) and (4) as well as the SDA/SCA
signals at pins (8) and (9), allon the satellite
tuner (TU7901), are as specified.

At the time of satellite digital
broadcasting

Is the digital signal (FED_D/FECLK)
outputted from pins (11) and (9) of
IC7508 (COFDM)?

Check the tuner (TU7901) and its periphera-
ls for soldering, etc. It they reall okay, replace

the digital satellite tuner (TU7901).
