7. Video signal adjustment procedure
1. AD-Converter Level Adjustment
1) Preparation
* Prepare signal generator LEADER LT448.
2) 1080i input
a) The method of a 1080i 75% COLOUR BAR signal input 
* Signal name: Select COLOUR BAR
Please use the 3rd of three kinds of COLOUR BAR button which is compatible with LT446. (Press a button 3 times.)
* Turn a rotary switch then select 02.
Preset value: 02: 1080i/59.94 (30sF) H: 33.72kHz V: 29.97Hz
* input 1080i input signal into the component input terminal (EXT3) of the set.
b) The method of adjustment 
* Refer to 4th item of chapter 3 and go to adjustment process mode.
* In the adjustment process mode, “AUTO GAIN-OFFSET” in “DVP3 (M2-HD)” of DVP the rayer page 3 is selected and the setting is
turned “ON” with a right and left key. 
3) 480i input
a) The method of a 480i 75% COLOUR BAR signal input 
* Signal name: Select COLOUR BAR
Please use the 3rd of three kinds of COLOUR BAR button which is compatible with LT446. (Press a button 3 times.)
* Turn a rotary switch then select 15.
Preset value: 15: 480i/60 H: 15.73kHz V: 29.97Hz
* input 480i input signal into the component input terminal (EXT3) of the set. 
b) The method of adjustment
* Refer to 4th item of chapter 3 and go to adjustment process mode. 
* In the adjustment process mode, “AUTO GAIN-OFFSET” in “DVP4 (M2-SD)” of DVP the rayer page 4 is selected and the setting is
turned “ON” with a right and left key.
4) PC XGA Input
a) The method of a XGA 75% COLOUR BAR signal input (RGB)
* Signal name: Select COLOUR BAR, set to SATURATION 75%
Please use the signal which is changeable SATURATION in three kinds of COLOUR BAR button.
* Turn a rotary switch then select  28.
Preset value: 28: XGA H: 48.36kHz V: 60.00Hz
Make sure to turn off  SYNC setting
* Input PC XGA input signal into the D-sub15 terminal (EXT5) of the set.
b) The method of adjustment 
* Go to adjustment process mode with reference to the 4th item of chapter 3.
* In the adjustment process mode, “AUTO GAIN-OFFSET” in “DVP5 (M2-PC)” of DVP the rayer page 5 is selected and the setting is
turned “ON” with a right and left key.
5) SCART RGB input
a) PAL 75% color bar signal input
Name of the used device: FLUKE 54200
Signal name: COLOR BAR
* Long press the COLOR BAR key to select COL_75_0.
b) Set AUTO GAIN-OFFSET on page 27 (SCART) of the adjust process DVP-M2 hierarchy to RUN.
* During adjustment, the whole screen becomes greenish. This is normal.

2. TAMP adjustment
1) Receive PAL Standard colour bar signal (E-12ch).
2) Display the DVP layer page 1 of the adjustment process (DVP1)
When reading values [TAMP 1L] [TAMP 1H] in this page are not in the value of the following table, select [TAMP ALL] in the same page (turn to
OFF
→ON), and adjust the maximum value of [YDATA] to become a value of the following table. (101-105)
* Keep in mind that a preset value is different depending on the model. 
3) When [TAMP ALL] turns “ON”, adjustment of [PAL TAMP1] is completed, then the value of [NTSC TAMP1] and [SECAM TAMP1] are set auto-
matically.
(NTSC is the value of PAL -7, SECAM  is the same as PAL.)

3. COM BIAS Adjustment
Display [OTHERS] of the adjustment process menu, then select  [COM BIAS].
Operate a right /left cursor key and adjust so that the flicker in the pattern of the following figure may serve as the minimum.

8. White Balance Adjustment
1. [Preparation of the adjustment]
1) “Luminance meter reference device”
Minolta CA-210
2) Conditions of the set for adjustment and inspection 
Modulated light: MAX (+16)
3) A set needs to be ageing for 30 minutes or more.
4) Set a luminance meter to middle of the screen. 
2. [Method of the adjustment]
1) In the adjustment process mode, Display the screen of “DVP2-1” on the DVP layer page 1.
It is confirmed that IN6 and IN5 are displayed in default value IN6=204 and IN5=102.
2) White balance adjustment adjusts the adjustment value of point 6 and point 5 R/G/B in the layer page 2 “DVP2-2” of DVP. Point 4 to Point 1 are
not adjusted this time.
3) In the adjustment process mode, Display the screen of “DVP2-2” on the DVP layer page 2.
4) Set standard value G6 of point 6 in “816”.
5) Read the value of the luminance meter.
6) Make R6 and B6 variable by 4 units to the negative direction then adjust, so that the values of the luminance meter approach x=0.272 and y
=0.277.
7) Set standard value G5 of point 5 in “408”.
8) Read the value of the luminance meter.
9) Make R5 and B5 variable by 4 units in the negative direction then adjust, so that the values of the luminance meter approach x=0.272 and y
=0.277.
