(7) Disconnect USB cable and power cord.
2.  Confirmation after update for M20S
2-1. Check after update
(1)  Turn on the projector.
(2)  Call the process mode.
(3)  Make sure that the firmware version in the process menu is “M20S021212”.
(4) Select “SPECIAL” from the process menu and press ENTER button.

(5)  Select “USB-MODE “and press the ►
 
button to return(restore) the value to 0
from 1.
If it is not changed, UP/DOWN function from the remote control does not work.
(6)  If the firmware version is “AA” version, it is need to change some setting. Take
the following additional steps from (6-1) to (6-5). If the firmware version is
other, then go to the next step.

(6-1) Select “E2PROM” and then press the ENTER button.
(6-2) Select “ADR-H” and then change the value from 0 to 3.
(6-3) Select “ADR-L” and then change the value from 0 to 219.
(6-4) Select “DATA” and then change the value from 0 to 1.
(6-5) Select “DATA” and then press the ENTER button.
(7)  Press the power button to turn the power off (the projector can be turned off by
pressing the power button once), and then wait until the cooling is finished.
(8)  Disconnect the power cord.
(9)  Turn on again the projector.
(11) Select “All Reset” in the “Options (2)” menu on the menu screen and then
press the ENTER button.
The update is completed.

In case of PG-M25X
Tools required:
•  PC which have the Microsoft windows operating system and the PC card slot interface
(PCMCIA card Type II)
•  Memory card (In case of using a memory card such as CompactFlash, it requires a
suitable PC Card Adapter)
1. Setting up
1-1.  Turn on the PC.
1-2.  Format the memory card. In the Windows2000/XP, the file system can be selected.
Select the file “FAT”.
1-3.  Decompress the ”M25X_firmware.ZIP” and then copy the “pj_jffs.img” to the
memory card.
Note: Do not write any other files except “pj_jffs.img” to the memory card.
2. Confirmation of program version
2-1.  Turn on the projector and wait until the start-up is finished. If the auto search is
running, stop it by inputting a signal or pressing the INPUT key.
2-2.  To call the process mode, press the buttons in order of below. (within 5 seconds)
AV MUTE, AV MUTE, ▲, ▼, ENTER, ENTER, MENU
If you failed to call the process mode (the menu will appear), press the MENU
button to close the menu, and then try again to call the process mode After waiting
for about five seconds.
2-3.  Select “SPECIAL” from the process menu and press ENTER button. Confirm the
program version at the “PRG VER.” in the “SPECIAL” mode and then note down
the current program version.
If the program version is 
“061711”
 or 
“082813”
, the additional step is required in the
paragraph 4(4-3).
Note: Be sure to write down the current program version.

3.  Updating the firmware
3-1. Select “IPL2” in the “SPECIAL” mode, and then press the ENTER button.
3-2.  The lamp of the projector goes to off and the projector starts cooling. Wait for
about 60 seconds and then disconnect the power cord.
3-3.  Insert the memory card to the INPUT 4 PC card slot of the projector.
3-4.  Connect the power cord.
3-5.  The LAMP indicator blinks in green. The firmware updating gets started.
Note: Never turn off the power during updating period.
3-6.  If the LAMP indicator is lighted up in red, the firmware updating is completed.
3-7.  Disconnect the power cord and then remove the memory card from the projector.
