When a post handling specification signal “Twofold Operation” is received during copying, 
twofoldoperationstarts.Thetwofoldoperationprocedureisasfollows:
1) Registrationcorrection
2) Paperpullingin
3) Folding
4) Delivery
1.Firstpaperregistrationcorrection(Fig.Twofold1-2)
Theentrancemotor1,entrancemotor2,andexitmotor2turnatthelinearspeedof
thehostmachine.
The fold/straight branching flapper solenoid turns on.
Thefoldfeedmotorturnsataspeedof400mm/s.
Theinnerthreefoldstoppermotorturnsataspeedof533ppsandtheleasingedge
pressguidemotorturnsataspeedof67ppstomovethestopper.
Whenpaperhasbeenfed233.0mmsincetheslowdowntimingsensorturnedon,
theentrancemotor1andentrancemotor2slowdownto650mm/s.Theclutch(CW)
turnson.
Forplainpaper,theentrancemotor1andentrancemotor2stop(registrationloop
size:7mm)whenthepaperhasbeenfed17.6mmsincethereleasetimingsensor
turnedon.Forthinpaper,theentrancemotor1andentrancemotor2stop(registration

andstopsthefoldpositionadjustmentmotorafterfeedingpaperby5.0mm.
Turnsonthereleasesolenoid,andwaitsfor300ms.
*Thesucceedingstepsarethesameforbothplainpaperandthinpaper.
Thefoldpositionadjustmentmotorturnsataspeedof400mm/s.
Thefoldpositionaccuracysensorturnsontoactivatethereleasesolenoid.
Whenpaperhasbeenfed10.0mmsinceitstrailingedgepassedthroughthereleased
rollers(and150mshavepassedafterthereleasesolenoidturnedon),therelease
solenoidturnsoff.
Whenthepaperhasbeenfed10.0mmsinceitstrailingedgepassedbytheinner

(CCW)turnson,andtheinnerthreefoldstoppersolenoidturnson.
Forplainpaper,thefoldpositionadjustmentmotorturnsinthenormaldirectionata
speedof400ms.Forthinpaper,thefoldpositionadjustmentmotorturnsinthenormal
directionataspeedof200mm/s.
The leading edge of the paper stops at the inner threefold stopper, starting the first 
foldoperation.
Thereleasetimingsensorturnsofftostopthefoldpositionadjustmentmotorandturn
offthefoldpositionadjustmentclutch(CCW).
