d) Confirm that Create a New Printer Agent is chosen under the Printer Agent Source.
Click on the Create button.
e) Under NDPS Manager Name, click on the browse button and select the NDPS Manager
you created (in this case NDPSMGR). Also, make sure that Novell Printer Gateway is
selected under Gateway Types. Click on OK.

h) Select Remote (LPR on IP). Click on Next.
i) In the “Host Address” field, enter the IP Address that was assigned to the copier. Delete
the “PassThrough” Printer Name. Then click on Finish.

j) A wait message appears while the printer agent loads.
k) Note: If you receive a message stating that the printer needs attention, click on OK and
go onto the next step.
l) Select the appropriate drivers that where loaded onto the server. Then click on
Continue.

m) A confirmation window will appear. Confirm your choices and click on OK.
n) The Printer Agent will load and your printer will be listed as an object.
This completes the Novell Setup portion. The next step is to install the printer drivers on the
client.
