g)  Insert the ARP11 PCL driver CDROM, press cancel to stop the auto installer.  Navigate
to the \option\English\Nt_PCL5e folder on the CD, then click [OK]
h)  Click on OK again.
i)  The printer driver is then copied on to the Novell Broker. Click on OK.
The NT PCL5e driver has now been added to the Broker.  If you would like to now add the
Windows 98 PCL5e driver, repeat the steps  “e” to “i" , selecting “Windows 95/98 Resource
type in Step “e”, and selecting the “9X_PCL5e” driver from the CDROM in step “g”

j)  Click on Cancel to exit the Novell Broker.
3) Setting up of NDPS Manager.
NOTE: This step is not necessary if a NDPS Manager has already been created on the
Novell 5.xx server.
a)  Launch Nwadmin32.exe and choose the container where the server resides.  In this
example : “headoffice”

b)  Right click the container and choose create. Scroll down and choose NDPS Manager,
then click OK.
c)  Enter a name of your choice for the NDPS Manager Name, select the Resident Server,
and Database Volume. Click on Create.
d)  Once the NDPS Manager is created, it must be loaded.  At the server console type at the
command line: NDPSM ‘THE NAME OF YOUR NDPS MANAGER.’  This will load the
NDPS manager.  In this example: NDPSM NDPSMGR.  This must be running to be able
to print.
e)  This line should also be entered at the servers AUTOEXEC.NCF.  This will allow the
NDPS Manager to load automatically.  Otherwise step 4 would be required every time
you restart the server.

4) Creating a Printer Agent.
a)  Start Nwadmin32.exe, and select a container.  In this example: “headoffice”
b)  Right click the container and choose create.  Scroll down and choose NDPS Printer, then
click on OK.
c)  Give the printer a name.  Note: This name can be any name, but a short, descriptive
name is best for identifying objects in a NDS tree.
