F. Transport roller
1) Remove the paper feed unit.
2) Remove the cover.
3) Remove the spring, and remove the screw.
4) Remove the plate cover, and remove the lever.
5) Remove the clutch.
6) Remove the screw and the E-ring, and remove the parts.
7) Remove the transport roller.

[7] ADJUSTMENTS
Each adjustment item in the adjustment item list is indicated with its JOB number.
Perform the adjustment procedures in the sequence of Job numbers from the smallest to the greatest.
However, there is no need to perform all the adjustment items. Perform only the necessary adjustments according to the need.
Unnecessary adjustments can be omitted. Even in this case, however, the sequence from the smallest to the greatest JOB number must be
observed.
If the above precaution should be neglected, the adjustment would not complete normally or a trouble may occur.

1) Enter the SIM 50-10 mode.
2) Select the “F: LCC” with the scroll key.
3) Enter the adjustment value with the 10-key.
• When the adjustment value is decreased by 1, the main scan-
ning print position shifts 0.1mm toward the front side.
• When the adjustment value is increased by 1, the main scanning
print position shifts 0.1mm toward the rear side.
4) Press the [EXECUTE] key.
The adjustment pattern is printed.
5) Check the adjustment pattern image position.
Measure the sizes of the void area on the front and the back
edges of the adjustment pattern, and check that the following
conditions are satisfied.

If A – B = 0 ± 4.0mm, there is no need to adjust.

6) Change the adjustment value.
(Enter the adjustment value and press the [OK] key.)

1) Enter the SIM 51-02 mode.
2) Select the “B: LCC” with the scroll key.
3) Enter the adjustment value with the 10-key.
• The smaller the set value is, the smaller the deflection quantity.
The greater the set value is, the greater the deflection quantity.
• Adjustment unit: Time in the unit of 1ms (The reference speed is
117mm/s. Variable according to the speed.)
4) Press the [OK] key.
The entered adjustment value is set.

2) Select the adjustment mode (DEN-B/DEN-C) with the scroll
key.
3) Enter the adjustment value of the selected point with the 10-
key, and press the [OK] key. (The entered adjustment value is

4) Select the paper feed mode "D: 6 (LCC)", and press the [EXE-
CUTE] key.
The test pattern corresponding to the entered adjustment
value is printed.

[8] TROUBLESHOOTING
1. General
When a trouble occurs in the machine or when the life of a con-
sumable part is nearly expired or when the life is expired, the
machine detects and displays it on the display section or notifies to
the user or the serviceman by voice messages.
