Precautions for executing the service simulation 66-7
1. Model Name
AR-FX11 (Option for AR-M161/M162/M162E/M165/M206/M207/M207E)
2. General
Since there is a bug in the firmware of AR-FX11 which is a FAX option for AR-
M161/M206 series, communication error occurs if the specific operation described
below is performed. (FAX reception/transmission is impossible, or FAX-related
simulation cannot be executed and canceled.)
As this phenomenon is very rare, perform repair work with great care.
3. Specific operation
When performing the following steps, the above phenomenon occurs.
(1) Enter the simulation mode with the timer transmission job present to execute
Sim66-7 (Printout of transmitted image).
(2) Cancel the simulation mode in the state where the executed Sim66-7 (Printout of
transmitted image) is not completed due to no paper. (The machine returns to the
basic screen.)
(3) Display the job status screen to delete the timer transmission job.
(4) Turn off the power.
4. Precautions for
When executing Sim66-7, pay attention to the following points. If the print job can be
executing Sim66-7
completed, this problem does not occur.
(1) When executing Sim66-7, load more paper into the cassette to prevent the paper
from running out.
(2) If paper has run out, be sure to add paper to complete the print job.
