3. HOW TO USE THE LL-191A SERIES FIRMWARE PROGRAM WRITING
*
The software program that needs to be written in the LL-191A series
is MPU, or firmware data.
[Applicable models]
LL-191A-B, LL-191A-W
[System requirements for the tool]
Windows98
[Use machine parts]
•  PC (USB, Print port necessity)
•  Writing board (X1049MP-27) (QKITX1049MPZZ)
•  RGB cable (QCNW-1041MPZZ)
• USB cable (QCNW-1027MPZZ)
Cables are available in the commercial item. 
[INSTALLATION METHOD]
1.
Get firmware writing [Setup.zip].
2.
Double click [setup.zip], and expand
3.
Double click [Setup.zip]
Installation is begun. 
4.
Following Daiagboccs is displayed,and [NEXT] is pushed.
5.
Specified folder at the installation destination, and click [NEXT].
(When the installation destination is changed, the folder is specified
with [Change...]. )
6.
Performed is installation and installation is performed in several seconds.
The following window is displayed.
7. Click [finish]
Installation is end above.
[Firmware program writing procedure]
1. Click [Select Chip].

Caution: The following messages appear when reactivating after the
installation. Click [OK].

Select the check [Clerk Security File] botton at the lower right area
of the window.
The following window is displayed

Set the [MTV Type] value for MTV312M64.

Push the [Load MCU file] button and chose the firemware to write in.
(Published separately is the firmware.)
Since the following screen is displayed, click [O.K.].
6. Hold down the [MODE] + [

] + [

] buttons and press the
[POWER] button.
7. The ISP window is displayed. Set it for "GO" or "ON" using
the [
1
] button.
8. Click [RUN] on the window screen on PC.
Begun writeing.
9. When writing the firmware ends, the following window is displayed.
Caution: If the following window is displayed
it is supposed that:
1.
When an error will occur if [RUN] is pushed, additional connec-
tion of a writing board, PC, and a monitor is checked.
2.
Lower the gauge of CPU speed on the side of the RUN button
in the window from High to about five when the error is dis-
played after writing ends.
10. If the LEDs (green and orange) come on, press the [POWER] but-
ton to turn them off.
11. [Execute All] reset. 
Hold down the [MENU] + [MODE] buttons and press the [POWER] button.
12. Check the version
Hold down the [MENU] + [

] button and press the [POWER] button.
Either of the following notifications appears. Check the model
name, version, date and checksum.
13. Turn off the AC power supply using the AC power supply switch.

4. WRITING LL-191A SERIES EDID
[Applicable models]
• LL-191A-B, LL-191A-W
[System requirements for the tool]
•  Windows 95/Windows 98/Windows Me/Windows 2000/Windows XP.
•  Set the printer port IP address to 378.
[Use machine parts]
[Installation]
1.
Create a folder c:\FG.
2.
Copy a compressed file.
To the folder c:\FG.
3.
The installation ends.

Expand the compressed file and copy all the files to the folder
c:\FG.
Caution: Write EDID in the service agency because the main substrate
in which EDID of each model is written is not set in LL-191A.
And, when write EDID, it is necessary to write S/N of each
monitor in EDID because the function of the monitor includes
the perception function of S/N. 
[How to use]
1. Connect the writing board to the PC.
but connect neither monitor nor Writing board. 
2. Execute c:\FG\launcher.exe.
3. The following window is displayed.
4. Select the [LL-191A]

7.) Press Yes if the contents are correct or press No if not. If No is
pressed, the screen will return to step (4). When Yes is pressed, the
screen will advance to the next step.
Do not connect the writing tool to the monitor yet. 
Caution: If the following window is displayed,
1. The writing board is not connected properly to the PC 
2. The writing board is already connected to the monitor.
Check the connection, press [OK] and then [Next].
8. After making sure the following window is displayed, connect the
monitor to the writing board.
Check the model name. (The following screen shows the case of
the LL-191A-W.)
[Setting up the monitor side]
1. Connect the RGB cable to the EDID writing board.
2. Turn on the main [power supply] switch.
3. Press the Front [POWER] key to turn on and wait until the mes-
sage "No input signal" appears on screen.
9. Type the serial number using the keyboard and click Next.
10. Type the serial number and click Next. The following screen is dis-
played.
On this screen, EDID is written and verified. If the operation stops half-
way, it indicates that the connection is not correct. Check for proper
connection.
If writing is finished, the window at step (8) appears. Connect the next
monitor to the writing board.
Repeat the writing procedure from step (8) to write EDID to the next
monitor.
11. If an error occurs during writing or verifying:
If an error occurs during writing or verifying, the following window
will appear.
When Retry is pressed, writing of EDID and verification will be tried
again. Usually check for proper connection of the cable and board-
before pressing Retry.
If the error persists, press Cancel. The screen changes to the next
one. Note that the EDID is not yet written properly.
