(3) AV equipment with S-video output terminals
Note: When you are using the S-video input terminal, do not connect
the cable to the video input terminal.
1-4. Connecting the monitor to a power source
Caution: • When connecting, ensure that the monitor is switched off.
• Always use the AC adapter that came with the monitor.
• Be careful not to over bend the cable or add extension cords
as this could lead to a malfunction.
1. Connect the AC adapter to the power input terminal.
2. Plug the power cord into the AC adapter and then place the power
plug into an AC outlet.
Note: The shape of the power cord may vary in some countries.

2-4. Version display (for servicing)

Press and hold down both the [Menu] button and the [
d
] button (VOL/
BRIGHT) on the system unit while pressing the power supply button on
the system unit, to turn on the power supply of the system. Hold the three
buttons down until the version is displayed on screen.

The following information is displayed.
VERSION
: The version of main unit software
CHECK SUM
: The checksum of main unit software
TUNER
: The version of a television tuner
CUSTOM MODE : The setting situation in custom mode

Turn off the power supply of the system or terminate the display of
the version by pressing the “Menu” button on the system unit.
The screen likes this:

Make sure the signal cable is disconnected from the PC before start-
ing this procedure.

Press and hold down the [OK/BRIGHT MODE] button and the [
e
] (VOL/
BRIGHT) button while pressing the power supply button of the system
unit to turn on the system. Hold down the three keys until the ageing
menu appears on screen.

The ageing menu is displayed on screen.

To terminate, turn off the power of the main unit and execute the all
reset.
The all reset procedures are as follows:
•  Press and hold [MENU] button and [OK/BRIGHT MODE] button on
the monitor, and turn on the power of the main unit. Keep pressing
until "ALL RESET" is displayed.

This monitor does not have a software power supply, and thus
you cannot terminate the ageing mode simply by turning off the
power supply. Make sure to perform “ALL RESET” after terminat-
ing the ageing mode.
2-6. RETURNED TO AN INITIAL VALUE SET VALUE
(1) ALL RESET (Describe to the manual.)
All the adjustment values except the custom mode (special specifi-
cation) are reset.

[OK/BRIGHT] mode button on the system unit while pressing
the power supply button on the system unit, Hold the three but-
tons down until displaying on the screen as "ALL RESET".

After ALL RESET is completed, it starts.
(2) INITIALIZE (For service)
All the adjustment values including those of the custom mode
(special specifications) are reset.

Press and hold down both the [INPUT], [Menu] button and the
[

] button (VOL/BRIGHT) on the system unit while pressing the
power
supply button on the system unit, Hold the three buttons down
until displaying on the screen as "INITIALIZE".

After INITIALIZE is completed, it starts.

To set/cancel the custom mode, follow the procedures below.
