MICROWAVE POWER LEVELS
t Your oven has 5 power levels, as shown.
t To change the power level for cooking,
press the MICRO POWER key until the
display indicates the desired level. Enter the 
required cook time and the press START/AUTO
MINUTE.
t Power level
The microwave power level is varied by the
microwave energy switching on and off.
When using power levels other than P100 you
will be able to hear the microwave energy
pulsing on and off as the food cooks or defrosts.

IMPORTANT: The microwave power level will 
default to P100 unless you press the MICRO
POWER 
key.
t Check the power level
To check the microwave power level during 
cooking, press the MICRO POWER key.As
long as your finger is pressing the MICRO
POWER 
key the power level will be displayed.
The oven continues to count down although 
the display will show the power level.
Generally the following recommendations apply:
P100 - (HIGH output = 900W) used for fast
cooking or reheating e.g. for casseroles, hot
beverages, vegetables etc.
P-70- (MEDIUM HIGH output = 630W) used for
longer cooking of dense foods such as roast joints,
meat loaf and plated meals, also for sensitive dishes
such as sponge cakes. At this reduced setting, the
food will cook evenly without over cooking at the
sides.
P-50 - (MEDIUM output = 450W) for dense foods
which require a long cooking time when cooked
conventionally, eg. beef casserole, it is advisable to use
this power setting to ensure the meat will be tender.
P-30- (MEDIUM LOW output = 270W Defrost setting)
to defrost, select this power setting, to ensure that the
dish defrosts evenly.This setting is also ideal for simmering
rice, pasta, dumplings and cooking egg custard.

SETTING THE CLOCK
Your oven has a 12 hour and a 24 hour clock.
t To select the 12 hour clock, press the 
SET CLOCK once until 12H
t To select the 24 hour clock, press the SET CLOCK twice until 24H
Example:To set the time of day follow the instructions below (12H) :

NOTES:
t Press the STOP/CLEAR key if you make a mistake during programming.
t If you press any of the TIME keys too many times, continue to press the key until the desired time 
re-appears.
t To check the time of day during a cooking process, press the SET/CLOCK key.
and the time of day will remain on the display as long as you keep your finger on the key.This does not
affect the cooking process.
t If the clock is set, when cooking is complete, the display will show the correct time of day.
If the clock has not been set, the display will only show
when cooking is complete.
t If the electrical power supply to your microwave oven is interrupted, the display will intermittently
show
after the power is reinstated. If this occurs during cooking, the programme will be 
erased.The time of day will also be erased.
t When you want to reset the time of day, follow the above example again.

key once to confirm.

HOW TO OPERATE YOUR OVEN
Opening the door:
To open the oven door, pull the door towards you by using the finger
Starting the oven:
Prepare and place food in a suitable container onto the turntable 
or place directly onto the turntable. Close the door and press the 
START/AUTO MINUTE key.
Stopping the oven:
If you want to stop the oven during cooking press the STOP/
CLEAR 
key once or open the oven door. If you want to cancel the 
cooking programme, press the STOP/CLEAR key twice.
Your oven enables you to cook and defrost food
using the automatic programmes, or to cook and 
defrost food manually.
Automatic cooking and defrosting allows you to 
cook and defrost using preset programmes
where the timings have been calculated for you,
e.g Express Defrost and Auto Cook .
Manual cooking and defrosting allows you to 
cook/defrost foods and weights which are not 
included in the automatic programmes.
Following are examples of manual cooking and 
defrosting.
For automatic cooking and defrosting refer to
pages 11 - 13.
MANUAL COOKING
t Enter the required power level, P-10 to P100 to cook,then enter the required time and press
    START/AUTO MINUTE. (refer to page 7).
t Stir or turn the food, where possible, 2 - 3 times during cooking.
t After cooking, cover the food and leave to stand, where recommended.
Example:
To cook for 2 minutes and 30 seconds on P-70 microwave power.

HOW TO OPERATE YOUR OVEN
MANUAL DEFROSTING
t Enter the defrosting time and use microwave power levels P-10 or P-30 to defrost (refer to page 7).
t Stir or turn the food, where possible, 2 - 3 times during defrosting.
t After defrosting, cover the food in foil and leave to stand until thoroughly defrosted.
Example:
To defrost for 10 minutes on P-30 microwave power.

by pressing the 10 MIN.

NOTES:
t When the oven starts, the oven lamp will light and the turntable will rotate clockwise or anti-
clockwise.
t Your oven can be programmed up to 99 minutes, 90 seconds (99.90).
t When the door is opened during cooking, the cooking time on the display stops automatically.
The cooking time starts to count down again when the door is closed and the START/AUTO
MINUTE 
key is pressed.
t When oven operation has finished, the time of day will reappear on the display, if the clock has been 
set.
t If you wish to know the power level during cooking, press the MICRO POWER key. As long as 
your finger is touching the key the power level will be displayed.
