WEIGHT RANGE
COOKING PROCEDURE
Fresh Vegetables
150g, 300g, 450g
• Cut, chop or slice fresh vegetables into even sized pieces.
(0.15, 0.3, 0.45)
Place fresh vegetables in a suitable container.
• Add 15ml (1tbsp) of water per 100g (4oz) of vegetables,
cover dish with cling film and pierce in several places
• Place on the turntable.
• Stir when oven indicates.
• Stand for 2-3 minutes before serving.
Jacket Potatoes
1, 2 and 3 pieces
• Pierce each potato in several places and place towards the
(1 potato = app. 250g)
edge of the turntable.
• Turn food over when the oven indicates.
• Stand for 2-3 minutes before serving.
Boiled Potatoes
250g, 500g, 750g,
• Peel and cut into even sizes, or if new potatoes, choose similar
(0.25, 0.5, 0.75)
sizes. Each piece weighing approx. 60-70g (2
1/2
-3oz).
• Place in a suitable size dish and add 30ml (2tbsp) of water
per 100g (4oz) of potatoes.
• Cover dish with cling film and pierce in several places.
• Place on the turntable.
• Stir when oven indicates.
• Stand for 2-3 minutes after cooking.
Rice / Pasta
100g, 200g, 300g
• Add 300ml (1/2 pint) boiling water per 100g (4oz) rice. 
(0.1, 0.2, 0.3)
• Do not cover.
• Stir when oven indicates.
• Stand for 3-4 minutes before draining and rinsing in
boiling water.
Canned Foods:
200g, 400g, 600g
• Empty the contents of the can into a suitable size dish.
Baked beans,
(0.2, 0.4, 0.6)
• Cover the dish with cling film and pierce in several places.
Chilli, Curry, 
• Place the dish in the centre of the turntable.
Soup, Stew
• Stir when oven indicates.
• Stir and stand for 2-3 minutes before serving.
Sponge Pudding
1 piece:
• Cream together the sugar and the margarine until light
100g Margarine
and fluffy.
100g Sugar
• Add the eggs one at a time and beat well.
2 Eggs
• Fold in the flour.
100g Self Raising flour
• Mix in the water.
15ml Water
• Place jam in a greased 1.2L pudding basin. Add sponge 
2 tbs Jam (optional)
mixture
• Do not cover.
• Place in the centre of the turntable.
• Stand for 2-3 minutes before serving.
Cake
1 piece (700g)
• Prepare the cake referring to the recipe on page 38.
• Place the prepared dish on the turntable.
• Stand for approx. 10 minutes after cooking.
• Remove the cake from the dish.

AUTO COOK /AUTO DEFROST
Weight Range: Food weight should be rounded up or down to the nearest 0.1 kg  e.g. 0.65 kg to 0.7 kg or
0.34 kg to 0.3 kg.
You are restricted to enter a weight within the range given (see chart on page 13).  To
cook/defrost weights below or above the range given, please refer to the charts on pages
26-30.  To cook or defrost food which is not included in the AUTO COOK/AUTO
DEFROST 
menu, please refer to the charts on pages 26-30.
Defrost: 
If necessary, shield small areas of meat or poultry with flat pieces of aluminium foil.  This will
prevent thin areas becoming warm during defrosting.  Ensure the foil does not touch the oven
walls.  Do not cook the meat or poultry until thoroughly defrosted.
This function enables you to cook or defrost the foods listed on the control panel (see Auto Cook/Defrost chart on
page 13). To operate the Auto Cook/Auto Defrost function, follow the example given below.
Example: To cook a chicken weighing 1.6 kg using Auto Cook AC-3.
Enter the weight by

• If an incorrect weight is entered when using the AUTO COOK/AUTO DEFROST function, “EE” will be
displayed. To erase, press the STOP/CLEAR key.
• As recommended in the chart on the following page, select the LESS/MORE function before pressing
START/AUTO MINUTE key. See page 13.

When action is required (example, to turn food over) the oven stops and the audible signals sound, the
remaining cooking time and any indicator will flash on the display. To continue cooking press the
START/AUTO MINUTE key.
The final temperature will vary according to the initial food temperature. Check the food is piping hot after
cooking. If necessary you can extend the cooking time and change the power level.

The LESS(
and MORE (
function allows you to cook food for more or less time than the pre-set
programmes.
For Example: If you prefer Jacket Potatoes which are cooked but still crisp, or beef which is rare, use the LESS
(
key. The display will show “LESS”. Alternatively, if you prefer Jacket Potatoes softer or beef well done, use
the MORE (
key. The display will show “PLUS”.

• INSTANT COOK: Press the INSTANT COOK key then immediately press the
LESS(
)/MORE (
key.
• AUTO COOK/AUTO DEFROST: Press the LESS (

• Stand, wrapped in foil, for 60-90 minutes until thoroughly defrosted.
• Place poultry breast side down in a flan dish, place on the turntable.
• Turn over when oven indicates.
• Stand wrapped in foil for 60-90 minutes until thoroughly defrosted.
• Place in a glass bowl on the turntable.
• When oven indicates turn over. Remove any defrosted parts.
• Leave meat to stand wrapped in foil, for 5-10 minutes until evenly defrosted.

• Place dish on turntable.
• Turn meat over when oven indicates.
• After cooking, wrap in foil and leave meat to stand for 10  minutes.
NOTE: Use MORE for beef/lamb which is well done and LESS (for beef only)
for meat which is rare. It is not possible to use LESS for pork.
• Pierce skin of poultry.
• Place poultry breast side down directly on a heat resistant flan dish.
• Place dish on turntable.
• Turn poultry over when oven indicates.
• After cooking, wrap in foil and leave meat to stand for 10  minutes.
NOTE: It is not possible to use LESS for poultry.

2. AUTO MINUTE
AUTO MINUTE enables you:
• To cook directly on 100P (HIGH) microwave power
in multiples of 1 minute.
• Extend cooking time in multiples of 1 minute.
Example:
To cook on 100P (HIGH) for 2 minutes, press the
START/AUTO MINUTE key twice.
Guide for use of LESS (
) and MORE (
) during manual oven operation:
To alter cooking or defrosting time whilst oven is in operation, use LESS (
or MORE (
).
Press the LESS (
or MORE (
key to decrease or increase the cooking or defrosting time in
multiples of 1 minute. The overall cooking time can be increased to a maximum of 99 minutes and 90
seconds.
Example: To cook on 50P (MEDIUM) for 10 minutes and then decrease the cooking time by 2 minutes:
