Venta System  Maintenance    

This document is intended to guide the reader through the installation of a Windows 98 Pre-
installed hard disk drive on the Sharp UP-5350  Although this document gives step by step
instructions it is recommended that the whole document is read before attempting to
configure the system.

•

  Fit Hard disk into UP5350

•

  Power on the UP5350

•

  When prompted enter your 

first and second names

•

  Press 

•

  When prompted with the mouse tutorial press 

•

  Enter the supplied Win98 registration number 

•

  Press 

•

  Clear any errors that might occur.

•

  When Prompted set the Time zone to be :-

•

  Press 

Apply then OK then Shutdown the UP5350

•

  Fit the Network card and configure (as shown below)

  Power on the UP5350

Select Control panel - Network

•

 

Choose Add

•

 

Choose Adapter then Add again.

From the manufacturers list choose Novell / Anthem and then from the
Network Adapters list choose NE2000 Compatible

•

 

Choose OK

•

 

Then Choose and set the irq to 5 and i/o address to 2A0

Then choose ok and then when prompted restart your computer

•

 

When the UP5350 has rebooted into windows,

•

 

Select control panel - Network icon

•

 

Highlight TCP/IP > NE2000 Compatible and then press properties
