How do I print a logo to the Epson TMT88II
and above printer on the UP5900 / UP5350
running Venta?

There are 2 ways of sending the logo to the Epson printer depending on the version
of the TMT88 :- This slide shows the TMT88II and above.

1) The Epson TMT88II and above printer has the capability to store  logo files in
Flash memory within its own flash memory.

2) Install the epson utility which can be found on the web in the Era-770 section
“Graphic logo for the ERA770 to the TM-T88II”

3)Run the utility (Tmflogo.exe) and select the logo

4)Select Logo Upload.

5) Within FM- Printer Configuration setup the Receipt printer type to be  T88-2-R

6) This will then print out the first logo that is stored in the Epson Printer.

I have taken a backup of Venta which is running 1.2.262 and I can't load
it onto a new UP-5900 which is straight out of the box, it comes up with
"This is not a Sharp Machine" although I have loaded Venta.

There a 2 things to point out here.

1. The back-up is not the whole Venta program it is just the data directory
- restoring the data from a 1.2.262 version onto a UP-5900 which has
been loaded with version 1.2.200 the program will start with 1.2.200 until
the upgrade to 1.2.262 has been completed.

2. Version 1.2.262 now checks that the API Drivers have been loaded
onto the UP-5900 this is to stop the software being loaded onto another
manufactures POS or PC-
Check the following ... Start - Settings - Control Panel - System - Device
Manager - Ports (COM & LPT) - SHARP POS Device Driver
If this is missing install the Device Drivers.

I have just installed Venta onto my 5900/5350 and when I
exit from FM it leaves the dos box  on the screen.

Highlight the the fm icon on the desktop then right click or
press Shift F10 and select properties choose the program
tab then check the box "Close on exit" choose apply and ok.

I Have just installed the Demo copy of WinTI from
commidea and configured venta to run with it, but i keep
getting the message “Waiting for EFT..”

Highlight the the WinTI  icon on the desktop then right
click or press Shift F10 and select properties and from
the shortcut tab remove the following from the Target:
line. INTERFACE=SOCKETS
