PGM 2 Mode Settings
There are many SharpSmart features programmable in
PGM2. To access these features follow these steps :
Press the MODE key.
Select “7 PGM2 MODE”
Select “2 Setting”
Select
“20 SHARPSMART"
Spend Points allocation
Press “ENTER”
This function is used to specify the number of points to
award for each multiple of the given amount spent.
When Independent Purse system is in operation,
Spend Points 1 is used when purchase is made using
Cash or Purse 1 (via CR8); Spend Points 2 is used
when purchase is made using Purse 2 (via CR9).

Credit Points allocation
This function is used to specify the number of points to
award for each multiple of the given amount added to
the SharpSmart Card. When Independent Purse
system is in operation, Credit Points 1 is used when
value is added to Purse 1 (via RA2); Credit Points 2 is
used when value is added to Purse 2 (via RA4)

Points Redemption
These functions are used to specify the redemption
value to award for each multiple of the given number
of points. Two redemption functions are independently
programmable.
By default, redeemed value is added to Purse 1,
however S/S#010-C & D allow the redeemed value to
be added to Purse 2.
Example :
If Amount is set to 0.02, and Points is set to 100, then
0,02 will be awarded for every 100 points redeemed.
Note:
Either or both Redeem functions can be used to print
“Raffle Tickets” instead of adding value to the
Purse(s). Raffle Ticket text is programmable by path
PGM2 > SETTING > SHARPSMART > REDEMP.

Birthday Redemption
Redemption Type (On the day, In the month).
Bonus value and/or points can be awarded to
members, either on the day or in the month of their
Date-of-Birth as coded on their member card.
If set to on the day, a Birthday message will be
displayed on the operator display/screen, and also
printed on the sales receipt, only on the actual DOB.
If set to in the month, the message will be displayed
and printed on each occasion that the card is used
during the whole birthday month.
At any time on the day or in the month

Credit Bonus Rate
Rate specifies a bonus percentage to be added to
Sharp
Smart Cards when an „add-to-card‟ operation
takes place. For example, if it is set to 5.00% and
10.00 is added to the SharpSmart Card, the purse will
be updated by 10.50. Threshold is used to specify the
bonus credit threshold. Amounts credited to a
SharpSmart Card which are lower than this amount will
not receive a bonus.

Maximum Card Balance
This job is used to specify the maximum balance that a
SharpSmart Card is allowed to hold. If zero, there is no
limit (other than the number of digits cannot exceed
nine, ie 9999999.99).
Default value at master reset = 100.00
Day Start Time
Allows setting the time when the new day is to
start/end. When set, various functions will “span”
midnight

the number of points to award when a specific D-EAN

Promotional Group For Departments
This field in the Dept preset screen is used to specify
the Promotion Group for a specific department. The
default is none, otherwise use either promotion group 1
or 2.
Promotional Group For PLU/EAN
This field in the PLU/EAN preset screen is used to
specify the Promotion Group for a specific PLU/EAN.
The default is none, otherwise use either promotion
group 1 or 2.
Promotional Group For PLU (RANGE)
Use the general purpose PLU range job for this
purpose.
Promotional Group For D-EANs
This field in the D-EAN preset screen is used to specify
the Promotion Group for a specific D-EAN. The
default is none, otherwise use either promotion group 1
or 2.
