PGM-Programming

CAUTION: During PGM-programming the communication to and from the base-station is
inhibited.

Orderman-Media-Setting

In 

PGM-2 – 2 SETTING – 04 MEDIA

 the different possibilities for payment can be set

as required.

The orderman-specific-setting are done in 

PGM-2 – 2 SETTING – 04 MEDIA – 8

ORDERMAN MEDIA

.  For all available 20 Orderman-medias the settings can be done.

But transmitted will only be those media-settings that have been enabled within the SRV-
setting.

For each orderman-media the corresponding ECR-media can be selected as well as the
type of bill-printing. Within the setting the name of the linked ECR-media is displayed,
transmitted to and used by the Mobile Order Terminal will be the media-text that is set at
the ECR-media-programming.

Orderman-Configuration

In 

PGM-2 – 2 SETTING – 24 ORDERMAN CONFIG

 the settings for the Orderman-

system will be done, that apply to all connected Mobile Order Terminals.

The following system-settings can be defined – MRS-setting is given in bold letters:

Selection of the amount setting for Subtotal-discount

Selection of the percentage setting for Subtotal-discount

Clear timer

Definition of a timer value, after what time of inactivity at the
ECR, a registration will be closed via clerk-sign-off in case a
transaction from OM has been received.

No secr. at ECR

This setting provides the opportunity to deactivate the
password-query at the UP-8x0set, but to enforce such entry at
clerk-sign-on at the Mobile Order Terminal.

Book free item

This defines whether an automatically registered article at
Mix&Match will apply to Mobile Order Terminal registrations.
Please note that book-free-item is only printed at the end of a
registration-sequence, like at the ECR.
No information will be given at the Mobile Order Terminal.

Hints / Tips and limitations for Orderman operation

Clerk-assignment

For operation with Mobile Order Terminal the UP-8x0 system has to be setup for
Overlapped-clerk-registrations.

Please refer to the information given in the section about SRV-programming.

At the Mobile Order Terminal the clerk is selected in “

SETUP… - Configuration

”. This

setting remains valid until the Setup procedure at the Mobile Order Terminal is changed.

Upon selection of “

START APPLICATION

” a set password is requested to be entered.

CAUTION: The users have to take care, that Mobile Order Terminal users are not signed-
on at any ECR!

At opening of a table it is checked if the Mobile Order Terminal user is signed on at any
ECR and a warning “IS SIGNED ON“ is given.

Since the registration-information will be sent to the ECR not before finishing the current
registration-operation, the system cannot check if the same clerk is signed on at the ECR-
system during time of registration.

In that case the message “IS SIGNED ON” appears at the Mobile Order Terminal, but
since this state is not permitted, the registration is lost!!!

Although it is possible to operate the system with more than one Mobile Order Terminal
assigned to the same clerk, it is not recommended to do such operations.

Multiple-article-entries

For multiple-article-entries a maximum entry of 99 is possible. If more articles are needed
entries of the article have to be split to 99 pcs followed by the next entry of that article
until the desired quantity is reached.

This procedure has to be followed due to given standards of the Mobile Order Terminal
software.

At re-access of table data the quantities are recapitulated to the total quantity.

Multiple void operations are functioning similarly.

Table-seat-registrations

Due to given standards of the Mobile Order Terminal software it is not possible to work
with table-seat-registrations.

These so-called GLU-subset-codes have to be deactivated in SRV.

Granting of a Subtotal Discount

At finalization of a transaction a discount can be granted as fixed value or as percentage.
Upon selection a popup shows up to define the discount.

At this input any value can be entered. It is just, that the software of the Mobile Order
Terminal needs an input, but the value of this input will not be used. Without any input
the discount will not be granted.

The discount that will be used is the one that is set in

PGM-2 – Settings – 24 ORDERMAN CONFIG

at

“(-) for ST(-)”

and

“(%) for ST(%)”

Tender-amount-entry

At the Mobile Order Terminal four different media-amounts can be entered. If there still is
an open tender-amount at selection of “FINALIZATION” this amount is automatically
finalized with the default-media-setting as defined within the setup of the Mobile Order
Terminal.

Price-level-shift

Price-level-shifts are supported by the modifier-function of the Mobile Order Terminal.

Upon selection of a newly entered article, the entry for the modifier can be selected.

This is price-level selection is valid for each article entry only. At normal registration at the
Mobile Order Terminal the PLU prices are not shown. The system uses always the current
active price level (ex. Happy Hour) of the ECR
