Channel Setting
VIDEO Plus+
Deleting Channels
If there is a channel you want to delete from
the Recorder memory, follow the procedure
below.
1
Press START MENU to display
the “START MENU” screen.
2
Press | to select
“OTHER SETTINGS 2”, then press
SET/ENTER.
3
Press  to select “CHANNEL
SORT”, then press SET/ENTER.
4
Press  to select “CANCEL”,
then press SET/ENTER.
5
Press | to highlight the
channel to be cancelled.
Re-naming Channels
When your Recorder tunes in broadcast
channels automatically, it names them using
the VPS/PDC information. You can change the
name of the channel with the following
procedure.
1
Press START MENU to display
the “START MENU” screen.
2
Press | to select
“OTHER SETTINGS 2”, then press
SET/ENTER.
3
Press  to select “CHANNEL
SORT”, then press SET/ENTER.
4
Press  to select “NAME”,
then press SET/ENTER.
5
Press | to highlight the
channel to be re-named. Then
press SET/ENTER.
6
Press SET/ENTER twice to
cancel the channel.

When all the channels you wish
have been cancelled, either press
RETURN to return to the “CHAN-
NEL SORT” screen or press
START MENU or EXIT to return
to the normal screen.

 to scroll through the
characters and 
| to move to
the next position. Then press
SET/ENTER.

If any more channels are to be re-
named, repeat the procedure from
step 5 to 6.

When all the channels are named
correctly, either press RETURN
to return to the “CHANNEL SORT”
screen or press START MENU or
EXIT to return to the normal
screen.

preferred order, either press
RETURN to return to the “CHAN-
NEL SORT” screen or press

Post Code Security
This feature should allow the Police to identify
you as the owner of the Recorder if it is
stolen. Each time the Recorder is turned on,
your postcode will be displayed for 5
seconds. Your postcode cannot be changed
or removed without first entering the correct
PIN-number. If you with to use this function,
follow the procedure below.

Press START MENU to display
the “START MENU” screen.

Press | to select
“OTHER SETTINGS 2”, then press
SET/ENTER.

provided for future reference.
Changing PIN NUMBER
You can change your PIN number at any time
with the following procedure.

Press START MENU to display
the “START MENU” screen.

Press | to select
“OTHER SETTINGS 2”, then press
SET/ENTER.

Press  to select “POST
CODE”, then press SET/ENTER.

Press the Number buttons or
 to enter your current PIN
number, then press SET/ENTER.

Press  to re-select PIN number.

Enter your new PIN number. Press
SET/ENTER to confirm, then
press START MENU or EXIT to
return to a normal screen.
 Important!
• Keep your Operation Manual separate
from your Recorder.
 NOTE
• Your Postcode can be changed at any
time, but you must first enter your correct
PIN number. If the wrong PIN number is
entered, an “ERROR” will appear. Re-enter
the correct number.

 NOTE
• When the signal is weak (hard to hear) in a
stereo broadcast, press AUDIO to turn off
“L R” display on the TV screen and change
the audio output mode to MONO.

• The channel information cannot be viewed
during playback, Time Shift Viewing,
Chasing Playback, or Simultaneous
Recording.
