A zero (0) or double-zero (00)
is automatically inserted
before the first or second digit.

Chapter Programmed Playback

Press the PROGRAM button on the remote control twice while
the disc is stopped. (Press once for a title and twice for a
chapter.)
The chapter program settings screen appears.

First, use the number buttons (0 to 9) to specify the desired title
number and then press M button.

Use the number buttons (0 to 9) on the remote control to enter
the chapter number in 
– – –
 and then press the M button. (The
highlight moves to the right (next field).)
If the entered chapter number does not exist on the disc, the number
is ignored when the 
M
 button is pressed. Press the 
(CLEAR) button
to clear.
(Example) Chapter 35 entered.

Repeat step 3 for each of the chapters that you want to play as
part of the program.
If you enter three or more digits, only the last three digits are
displayed.
If you press

 (CLEAR) while you are entering a chapter number,
the number entered reverts to

If you press the

 (CLEAR) button when the DVD player is awaiting
input (cursor in

), the cursor highlight returns to the previous
location.

while you are entering numbers, all the entered numbers are
erased and the highlight returns to the initial (top left) position.
Up to 20 chapters can be programmed.

If you press the REPEAT 
 button on the remote control while
a disc is playing, the current chapter is played repeatedly.
(On discs without chapters, the player repeats the current title.)

If you press the REPEAT 
 button on the remote control
during chapter repeat playback, the current title is played
repeatedly.

 appears on the TV screen during title repeat.
The front panel displays are the same as for chapter repeat
playback.

Repeat Playback

A-B Repeat
A-B repeat: Repeats any specified section on the disc.

While you are playing a disc, press the 
A - B
 button on the remote
control when you reach the start of the section to be repeated.

While the disc is playing the same title (same chapter), press the
A - B
 button on the remote control again when you reach the end
of the section to be repeated.
A-B repeat can only be used within the same title. (On some discs, A-
B repeat is restricted to the same chapter.)
If the start and end of the section to be repeated are in different titles
(chapter), A-B repeat is cancelled.
If the front panel display does not show the elapsed playback time
while a DVD disc is playing, A-B repeat playback cannot be used for
that DVD disc.
The A-B Repeat function does not operate in scenes where different
camera angles are recorded.
The A-B repeat function does not operate for VCDs (video CDs) or
CDs (audio CDs).
To cancel A-B repeat, press the 
A - B
 button again during A-B
repeat playback or press the Ë
