TEST MODE
When the tuner test mode is set, the initial setting of frequencies
is stored in the preset memory as shown in Table 1. For
details, refer to "8. Tuner test" on page 27.
The frequencies registered by the user will be changed when
the above setting is performed.

  Adjustment
Since this DVD/CD system incorporates the following
automatic adjustment functions, readjustment is not needed
when replacing the pickup. Therefore, different PWBs and
pickups can be combined freely.
Each time a disc is changed, these adjustments are
performed automatically. Therefore, playback of each disc
can be performed under optimum conditions.

TEST MODE
 Shifting to the test mode
If the POWER key on the main unit is pressed while the PLAY and VOLUME UP keys are held down in the power off state, the
unit enters the test menu mode. “AT100” is displayed at the top of the FL, and “Ver.
∗∗∗∗
” (
∗∗∗∗
shows version No.) at the bottom.
Then, press the VOLUME UP or DOWN key to select the test mode, and determine it with the PLAY key. If direct keys are pressed
on the remote control while the version number is displayed, the unit enters the specified test mode directly.

Test Mode
In each test mode, “TEST” appears at the top of the FL and that shown under “Display” of the table above at the bottom.
Pressing the POWER key in the test mode will display COMPLETE for 1 second, and then cancels the test mode.
2. If the power failure occurs in each test mode, cancel the test mode and perform an operation to recover the electricity.
(To reset the unit after the electricity resumes, be sure to write in irregular data for RAM check.)
 Canceling the test mode
Since the pickup semiconductor laser can easily damaged by
the static electricity, handle the mechanism unit with care.
To prevent damage by the static electricity during
transportation, the LD terminals are short-circuited at 2 points
on the PWB. Unsolder them by a soldering iron after
completing the connection. When you return the mechanism
unit, solder the terminals again.

1. Shipment Test Mode
Outline:
Initialization of EEPROM in the DVD unit
Function:
The unit is set to “Shipment”. (The state immediately after shipment)
- All the functions and conditions are initialized.
- Clear all of tuner preset memory
- Clock initialization
- Clearing DVD memory
- Resetting DVD memory
- Initialization of DVD mechanism
- Set the DVD mechanism as above.
Operation: When the unit enters the shipment test mode.
1. “TEST” flashes at the top of the FL, and “INITIAL” at the bottom.
2. When initialization is complete, “COMPLETE” appears in the FL before the unit exits the test mode, and then the
power is turned off. If initialization fails, “INT ERR” appears in FL, and the unit stands by until the POWER key
    ispressed.

2. DVD Test Mode
   Outline:
The key code of the test mode 1 is transmitted to the DVD unit to start up the test mode. Hereafter, the system
microcomputer only sends the key code to the DVD unit. Although operations of the main unit can be commenced
in the same manner as the DVD/CD functions, nothing has to be controlled except for monitor output. Therefore,
the sound is always mute, and the SP relay of each channel is always off, too.
As the CD cover must be kept closed with a disc inserted before entering the test mode, opening and closing
operations are not required, either. (In this test mode, no opening or closing operation is required.)
The FL display shows “DVD TEST” while in the test mode, and turns off all the other segments.
   Function:
1. Start up the test mode in the same manner as the DVD/CD functions, and also start the DVD unit in the normal
operation. The display shows “DVD TEST” through this test mode, and turns off all the other segments.
2. All the other function may be started in the normal operation. Leave the mute ON since no sound is to be emitted,
and the SP relay of each channel OFF.
3. After the DVD unit is started, the key code (F1h) of the test mode 1 is transmitted in the form of the communication
    data.
4. If the status data of Byte No. 24 is set to 0Fh, the system microcomputer will communicate with the DVD unit as
usual. However, the communication data from the DVD unit does not have to be checked. The microcomputer
accepts the only keys described in the table below, and sends the key code to the DVD unit.
(No opening or closing operation is required.)
5. “COMPLETE” is displayed by pressing the POWER key, and the system microcomputer is reset and restarted
    to cancel this test mode.
