6. H-POP (Horizontal position) adjustment
Adjust with the remote control buttons [VOL +/-] so that
the horizontal center of the crosshatch pattern comes to
the center of the screen.
7. H-PIN (Vertical pin level) adjustment
Adjust with the remote control buttons [VOL +/-] so that
the vertical lines on the outside of the crosshatch pattern
become straight lines.
8. H-KEY (Vertical pin keystone distortion) adjust
ment
Adjust with the remote control buttons [VOL +/-] so that
the vertical lines on the outside of the crosshatch pattern
become straight lines.
The vertical position changes when [H-KEY] is
adjusted. Confirm [V-POS] and adjust if required.
8. H-TPN (Upper pincushion compensation)
adjustment, H-BPN (Lower pincushion compen-
sation) adjustment
Adjust with the remote control buttons [VOL +/-] so that
the lines in the upper part and the lower part of the cross-

djustment accompanying exchange of the picture tube or the deflection yoke
When the picture or the deflection yoke has been exchanged, perform all of the following adjustment in the following orde
ρ.
Prepare
1. Push the deflection yoke all the way to the front and fix it provisionally.
2. Demagnetize the front and the rear of the picture tube, the left and the right side of the cabinet, etc. with a demagnetization
coil.  (At this time, keep the demagnetization coil away from the deflection yoke.)
3. Receive a color pattern and perform aging for at least one hour.
VRS
Purity Adjustment
Adjusting the red, blue, and green electron beams so that they hit the specified fluorescent substance correctly.
Prepare
1. Loosen the screws fixing the deflection yoke and provisionally fix the deflection at the very front position with adjusted inclina-
tion.
2. Turn the knobs for the two VRS adjustment magnets to a horizontal position.
3. Turn the knobs for the two purity adjustment magnet to the top.
Turn the respective two adjustment magnets at the same time and confirm that the image does not move.

VRS adjustment
1. Receive a crosshatch pattern.
2. Set the adjustment values for [R-CUT] and [B-CUT] of “WB adjustment” in service adjustment mode to [000].
Always make notes of the original values.
3. Adjust the VRS magnet so that the horizontal lines of the crosshatch pattern become level.
Purity adjustment
4. Loosen the setscrew of the deflection yoke, slide the deflection yoke all the way back, adjust the inclination of the cross-hatch
pattern, and fix the deflection yoke provisionally.
5. Receive a rainbow color bar, and use the TV reception channel fine adjustment for a black-and-white image.
6. At this time, the image shows stripes of magenta, green and cyan from the left.
Adjust the purity adjustment magnets so that the vertical green band is positioned at the center of the screen.
(Adjust by turning the two magnets symmetrically to the left and the right from the top.)
7. Loosen the provisional tightening of the deflection yoke, move the deflection yoke gradually to the front, and provisionally fix
the deflection yoke at the position where the entire screen shines in green color.
At this time, turn the deflection yoke so that the horizontal lines of the cross-hatch pattern become level.
When the horizontal bow shape of the horizontal lines of the cross-hatch pattern can not be removed completely, repeat the
adjustments 3. to 6.
8. Return the adjustment values for [R-CUT] and [B-CUT] of “WB adjustment” to the values noted with the [VRS] adjustment.
Also confirm for the single colors R (red) and B (blue).
9. Confirm that the entire screen is free of local colorations.
In case of local colorations, remove the color irregularities by moving the deflection yoke slightly to the front or the rear.
If the color irregularities can not be removed, repeat the adjustments 4. to 8.
10.Tighten the setscrew of the deflection yoke, and return the “Fine adjustment” of the TV to the original condition.

Convergence Adjustment
1. Receive a crosshatch pattern.
2. Gradually open the knobs of the 4-pole convergence
magnets and match the red and blue vertical lines at the
center of the screen.
Next, rotate the entire 4-pole magnets to match the red
and blue horizontal lines.

3. Gradually open the knobs of the 6-pole convergence magnets and match the red and blue vertical lines at the center of the
screen.
Next, rotate the entire 6-pole magnets to match the red and blue horizontal lines to green.
If required, repeat the adjustments 2. and 3.
4. After the adjustment, apply paint lock to the magnets.
5. Slightly loosen the screws fixing the deflection yoke.
6. Deflect the deflection yoke as shown in Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 to the top, the bottom, the left and right, and adjust the deviation of the
three colors R (red), B (blue) and G (green) at the circumference of the screen as shown in Fig. 3 and Fig. 4.
At the time of this adjustment, do not move the deflection yoke in forward/backward direction. Otherwise purity adjustment
will be necessary.
7. In the position where there is no color deviation for R (red), B (blue) and G (green), fix the deflection yoke by driving wedges
into the space between the deflection yoke and the picture tube as shown in Fig. 5.
8. Tighten the screws fixing the deflection yoke.
