* Note on handling the optical block
Optical block and polarized glasses are
very sensitive parts.
Use air blower to clear the dust on the
surface of the Optical block
(for more details about handling the inorganic
polarized glass, please read page 28).
polarized glass, please read page 28).
Important notice on Optical block replacement
Optical block used for this model cannot be replaced
separately. Do not disassemble the Optical block.
These Optical block are installed with precision at the
factory. When replacing the Optical block, should be
replaced whole of the Optical block are prism assy at
once.
When replacing Optical block, take the optical
and electrical adjustments following to the chapter
"Adjustment".
1. Remove 2 screw A (M2.5x8.5) and pull out the lens/Optical block.
2. Remove 4 screw B (M2.5x8), remove the Optical block.
The Optical block has two types: R/L. Check which type of Optical block is used by the projector as
shown in the following figure.
Conduct Optical block type check and setting on the replaced Optical block during electric adjustment
when you replace the Optical block and prism assy.
The L and R type Optical block has different Gamma characteristics.
How to check Optical block model
Please check the print serial number on the G-Optical block 's cable.

The incident and exit plane of the polarized glass or
Optical block is shown in the figure below. It shows the
light emitted from the lamp.
The aluminum evaporated surface of inorganic
polarizer is contact prohibition area. Prohibit touching
it with bare hand, wiping or contacting with the other
parts.

This projector provides high durable inorganic polarizer which has a rib shaped evaporated aluminum on the glass
surface.
This surface is very delicate. If touching or wiping the surface, the polarizing function will be lost due to damage of
the aluminium rib construction on the surface. Extreme care should be taken to handle the polarizer.
●
Inorganic polarizer handling
Never grasp the surface or edges of the polarizer with bare hand. If fat and oil on your hand adheres on
the edges of polarizer, the linear bolt may appear on the glass surface due to capillarity. Grasp the edges
of the glass with new gloves or with tweezers when handling it.
●
Inorganic polarizer cleaning
When removing the dust on the surface, use a commercial (inert gas) air spray or air blower to remove
them. Never use organic solvents.
