6. Installation
6.1 Unpacking
Check the condition and contents of the box for any shipping damage and
completeness before installation (Visual check)
6.2 Installation procedure
Please keep this procedure (It is printed in the Service Manual)
Remove the shipping material before installation.
Caution: Make sure the copier is unplugged before the installation.
Place the copier on the system
console.
Caution: Be careful not to pinch your
fingers between the copier
and system console.

* Magnet catch plate is needed when optional 550 sheet paper drawer is
installed to upper stage of the system console.

Connect the lattice connector of the
system console to the copier.
Note: When the LCC is installed,
connect the connector of the
system console to the LCC.

Paper size setting
(1) Pull the paper tray out until it stops.
(2) Position the paper guides (front/rear)
to the paper size required.
If the size will remain fixed, remove
the latch locking screw, rotate the
lock, and reinstall the screw.
(3) Position the paper guide (left) to the
paper size required and install the
paper guide screw.
(4) Puch in the paper tray.
(5) Turn the copier ON.
(6) Select F5-16.
(7) Select the desired paper size.
(8) Press the "User Preset" or "Reset"
keys to return to normal mode.
(9) Take out and reinsert the indicator
so the selected paper size is shown.
