4.2.5. Concerning the LED (LED800) on the KX-TVM503 Card
LED is mounted on the TVM503 card, which is shown in the diagram below. There is an LED mounted on the KX-TVM503 card
at the position shown in the diagram below. This LED is for servicing. When the DSP downloads program software normally and
moves into operating state, the LED lights up. An unlit LED indicates anomalies such as unsuccessful software downloads or
failure of power supply to the DSP chip (IC811).

4.2.6. Distinction between KX-TVM503 card and KX-TVM502 card
R316 is used for the distinction between KX-TVM503 card and KX-TVM502 card. R316 is connected to pin 54 of DSP (IC811).
In case of TVM503, R316 is connected to the GND and pin 54 of DSP (IC811) becomes Low. Pin 54 is the multipurpose port
of DSP IC (IC811).
Since the internal register of DSP can read the signal level of this port, the CPU (IC112) of TVM50 distinguishes the card
mounted on the slot between TVM502 and TVM503 with this register.
In case of TVM503, R316 is connected to the GND and pin 54 of DSP (IC811) becomes Low. Pin 54 is the multipurpose port
of DSP IC (IC811).
Since the internal register of DSP can read the signal level of this port, the CPU (IC112) of TVM50 distinguishes the card
mounted on the slot between TVM502 and TVM503 with this register.
