3 INSTALLING KX-TVM503X
3.1. GENERAL
Each KX-TVM503 adds 2 ports to the KX-TVM50 which can be used for DPT Integration. KX-TVM503 cards can be installed in
slots 2 and 3 of the KX-TVM50.

3.2. INSTALLATION
 1. Position the front of the card so that the jacks fit in the open slot. Holding the card firmly in place, lower the other end of the card
so that the card’s hole fits over the extension bolt.
CAUTION
When installing optional cards, do not put pressure on the main board. Doing so may result in damage to the KX-TVM50.
 2. Insert and tighten the screws as shown.
Note
     ·    The KX-TVM503 operates at SELV.

This card is APT interface/SLT interface-removed card from KX-TVM502 (2-port Hybrid Expansion card) and mounts only 2-port
DPT interface.
Required data communication to link with the PBX at DPT interface and APT interface is done by CH1 of TVM50 main unit, not
by this card.
4.2.2. DSP (IC811)
The DSP has functions to compress and decompress voice data of voice mail units, generates and receives DTMF tones,
detects AGC, VOX and CPT, and controls the volume and playback speeds, etc. The number of installed channels is two per
DSP. Up to 3 DSPs (6 channels) at the maximum are controlled by the host CPU and iVDC (ASIC).

4.2.3. ECO
ECO sends and receives voice data of DPT interface along with the TVM50 main unit.
The data signal communication with the PBX using Dch of DPT interface takes place at ECO of TVM50 main unit.
4.2.4. DPT Interface Circuits
ECO chip (IC153) of TVM503 sends and receives voice data only.
Now therefore, in order to link with the PBX through DPT interface, PBX voice mail port should be connected to CH1 of TVM50.
