4 General/Introduction
4.1.
General Description
This card is plugged into a free slot on NS300/500/320/520 systems and randomly connects up to 
8 (KX-NS5173) or 16 (KX-NS5174) SLT devices.
This card doesn't have CPU device, and every Monitoring and/or Controlling functions are realized by CPU board.
Also, this card has capability to send Caller ID signal to extension ports.

5.2.
Hardware Functional Specification
5.2.1.
PLD
A PLD (Programable Logic device) is equipped on KX-NS5173/74, and this device has several interfacing functions as below.
5.2.2.
CODEC Function
Silicon Labs Si32261 CODEC is installed. The analogue features such as BN, frequency characteristic, volume level, sidetone
are configured by PLD CODEC interface DCLK, CS, DOUT, DIN. Also, it converts A/D to D/A, and 4-line-analogue signal to
PCM code in G.711 format.

5.2.3.
2W-4W Conversion
It converts 4W-VOX signal used in the PBX to 2W-VOX signal used in SLT, and vice versa. It consists of an operational amplifier
in the SLIC and a balanced network (B/N) in the CODEC. It can control the return loss of the audio data and frequenc character-
istics.By modifying the CODEC program, it can match the corresponding impedance.
5.2.4.
DTMF Signal Detection
Each port has its own DTMF receiver in the code.Detection of DTMF signal by codec transmits this data to the CPU board via
the PLD.Via the PLD, CPU board reads the DTMF signal which is received in the codec.
