11.2. Disassembly of IC
(Ice Compartment)
1. Remove DOOR (IC) and CASE(IC).
2. When remove ICE TRAY, turn the DIAL and unlock it,

3. Unscrew the Screw (1 piece).

11.2.1. THERMISTOR (SENSOR FCC)
1. Remove ICE PLATE T.

2. Take out Wires from Wire hook of ICE PLATE T, then
remove THERMISTOR (SENSOR FCC) from Hook.
11.2.2. ICE MAKER ASSY
1. Remove ICE PLATE T.
(Refer to disassembly of IC.)
2. Have your finger on the Knob at the reverse side of ICE
MAKER ASSY, and pull up toward direction1.
3. Slide ICE MAKER ASSY toward direction2, then remove
ICE MAKER ASSY from Stopper.
4. Unscrew the Screw (1 piece) and remove ICE CHECK
LEVER from ICE MAKER ASSY.
CAUTIONS ON ASSEMBLY
1. Fix ICE MAKER ASSY by the Stopper of ICE PLATE T
securely.
2. When installing ICE CHECK LEVER, adjust Hooks to
original position and fix it to ICE MAKER ASSY by the
Screw in place.

3. Be sure to install THERMISTOR (SENSOR FCC) in
place.
4. Arrange the lead wires so that they will not loosen, and fix
by the Hook on the ICE PLATE T.
AFTER REPLACING ICE MAKER ASSY
• Conduct operation check (ICE MAKING TEST 1) by follow-
ing steps.
1. Set in SERVICE MODE.
(Close DOOR(IC) or DOOR(FC), then press [FRESH
FREEZING] button for 5 seconds.)

2. Close DOOR(FC) and open DOOR(IC) to confirm the ini-
tial operation.

3. Press the buttons as follows.
4. Confirm operation of Ice release by the ICE CHECK
LEVER and revolving of the ICE TRAY.
5. LED is turned off, and beep sounds are stopped.
6. Confirm operation of water supply by the water pump

(If you dispose water, conduct the test again.)
CAUTION FOR OPERATION CHECK
• Finally, check CASE(IC). If there is water or ice cubes in the
case, throw them away.
11.3. Disassembly of SC
(Fresh Freezing Room)
1. Remove DOOR (SC) and CASE(SC) with DOOR (PCR
and PCL) closed.
11.4. Disassembly of FC
(Freezer Compartment)
1. Remove DOOR (IC) and CASE(IC).
2. Remove ICE PLATE T.

(Refer to disassembly of IC.)
3. Remove DOOR (SC) and CASE(SC).
4. Fully open the DOOR (FC), then take out CASE(FC).
5. Unscrew the Screws (2 pieces) of SUPPORT FRAMEs

5. Unscrew the Screws (2 pieces) of SUPPORT FRAMEs
(FVL and FVR).
6. Pull out DOOR (FC) toward you, and remove it.
(Hooks at depth sides of RAILs are unhooked.)
CAUTIONS ON ASSEMBLY
a. When installing DOOR (FC), pull out both sides of
RAILs completely, and put both sides of SUPPOT
FRAMEs on RAILs and insert hooks of RAILs.

b. Give the door a push while pulling out the RAILs com-
pletely, then set hooks of RAILs to SUPPORT
FRAMEs (FVL and FVR).

c. Fix SUPPORT FRAMEs to the RAILs by tightening
Screws (2 pieces, left and right) in place securely.
7. Unscrew the Screw (1 piece) of RAIL(IS).

8. Unhook the Hook (back side), and push out RAIL (IS) to
the back of compartment, then pull it out to the right.
9. Unscrew the Screw (1 piece) at the front of Connector
housing (CORD COVER(FCL)), and unhook the Hook,
then remove it.

10. Take out lead wires for FAN MOTOR (FC) at the left side
of Connector housing, then disconnect the Connector.
11. Unscrew the Screws (2 pieces) of COIL COVER ASSY.
12. Push down the Hooks (3places) of upper part of COIL
COVER ASSY, then pull down COIL COVER ASSY
toward you, and remove it.

11.4.1. FAN MOTOR (FC)
1. Remove COIL COVER ASSY.
(Refer to disassembly of FC.)
2. Remove the lead wires of FAN MOTOR (FC) from Wire
hooks.
3. Push up FAN MOTOR (FC), then remove it.

4. Unhook the Hooks (4 places) of FAN GUARD, and
remove it.
CAUTIONS ON ASSEMBLY
1. Put Polyurethane tape around FAN MOTOR (FC) in
place.
2. Install FAN GUARD on the label side of FAN MOTOR
(FC), then install FAN MOTOR (FC) to the COIL COVER
ASSY so that FAN GUARD should be on the back side.
(The label is hidden by the FAN GUARD.)

3. Arrange the lead wires of FAN MOTOR (FC) in place.
4. Wrap Polyethylene tape around lead wires in place, and

Disassemble the parts in the Ice compartment, Freezer com-

11.4.2.1. THERMISTOR (DEFROST)
1. Rotate and pull SENSOR HOLDER toward you, and
remove it.
2. Remove THERMISTOR (DEFROST) from SENSOR
HOLDER.
3. Pull out the lead wires from Wire hooks.
CAUTIONS ON ASSEMBLY
1. Wrap Aluminium tape around the sensing part of THERM-
ISTOR (DEFROST), and install the SENSOR into SEN-
SOR HOLDER.

2. Fix SENSOR HOLDER to the Pipe in place so that the
SENSOR should become on a back side.
