3  REPLACEMENT OF MAIN PARTS
IMPORTANT: Before replacing any part always DISCONNECT THE 
CLEANER FROM THE ELECTRICITY SUPPLY.
1. Remove dust compartment. (Fig.1)
2. Remove screws from upper body and take it out. (Fig. 2)

3.  Lift up cord reel ass'y and remove the two lead wires 
(provided with quick-connect terminal) from the contact 
springs. (Fig. 3)
Note: Slide the tube insulation to disconnect 
quick-terminal.
4. Take out motor unit, remove motor cover and disconnect 
the two lead wires (provided with quick-connect terminals) 
from the motor tabs. (Fig. 4)     
5.  Remove from the motor front / rear motor support and 
replace with a new one. (Fig. 5)
6.  Reassemble front / rear motor support and connect the two 
lead wires to the motor tabs. Place the motor cover and 
reinstall the motor unit into the lower body. (Fig. 6)
7.  Connect the lead wires according to the schematic diagram 
and reassemble the remaining parts in the reverse order.
8.  Make sure switches SW1 / SW2 are correctly positioned 
as indicated. (Fig. 7)  
Note: Make sure the lead wires are correctly positioned 
to avoid pinching them between parts.

3.2.  CARBON BRUSHES

Note: Replace both carbon brushes at the same time.
1. Take out motor unit and remove motor cover as explained 
previously in paragraph 3.1 Motor, points 1-4.
2. Disconnect lead wires (provided with quick-connect 
terminal) from the motor tabs.
3. Remove the screw from the carbon brush holder and 
take it out. (Fig.8)
3.3. CORD REEL UNIT
1.  Remove upper body and take out cord reel ass`y as 
explained previously in paragraph 3.1 Motor, points 1-3.
2.  Remove the screw from the cord stopper to release power 
supply cord. (Fig. 9)
3.  Press the brake lever and unwind the power supply cord 
two times to release the cord reel spring efficiency. 
4.  Detach cord reel unit and cord reel support by removing 
the screw. (Fig. 10)
5.  Replace the cord reel unit with a new one and reassemble 
with the cord reel support refastening the screw.
Note: Wind up the power supply cord 2 extra times, as 
indicated on the spring plate, to maintain the spring 
efficiency. Finally, place the cord stopper and refasten 
the screw.
6. Connect the lead wires according to the schematic 
diagram. 
7.  Reinstall cord reel ass’y into place and reassemble the 
remaining parts in the reverse order.
4.  Replace the carbon brush unit with a new one and reinstall 
it refastening with the screw. 
5.  Connect the lead wires according to the schematic diagram 
and reassemble the motor unit. 
6.  Re-install motor unit, cord reel ass’y into their lodging and 
reassemble the remaining parts in the reverse order.

3.4.  POWER SUPPLY CORD

1. To replace the power supply cord, take out cord reel ass’y 
and disassemble it as explained previously in paragraph 
3.3 Cord reel unit, points 1-4.
2.  Unwind the power supply cord from the cord reel unit.
3.  Press and release the stopper on the cord reel and lift the 
rail base by pushing the lower end. (Fig. 11)
3.5.  BRAKE LEVER UNIT
1. To replace the brake lever unit, take out cord reel ass'y and 
disassemble it as explained in paragraph 3.3 Cord reel 
unit, points 1-4.
2. Remove the spring and brake lever unit from cord reel 
support and replace with a new one. (Fig.14)
3. Re-install the brake lever unit and spring and reassemble 
cord reel unit and cord reel support.
Note: Wind up the power supply cord 2 extra times, as 
indicated on the spring plate, to maintain the spring 
efficiency. Finally, place the cord stopper and refasten 
the screw.
4.  Reinstall cord reel ass'y and connect the lead wires
according to the schematic diagram. Then reassemble
upper body and remaining parts in the reverse order.
4. Disconnect the power supply cord from the rail base and 
replace with a new one.
Note: Observe the colour of the lead wires from the 
power supply cord before reinstalling the new one. 
(Fig.12)
5.  Insert the rail base through the cord reel slot. (Fig.13)
Note: Put grease on the rail base before assembling 
the cord reel support.
6.  Wind up the power supply cord in the arrow direction as 
indicated on the spring plate.
7.  Reassemble cord reel unit and cord reel support and 
refasten the screw.
Note: Wind up the power supply cord 2 extra times to 
maintain spring efficiency. Finally, place the cord 
stopper an refasten the screw.
8.  Reinstall cord reel ass’y into place. Connect the lead wires 
according to the schematic diagram and reassemble upper 
body and remaining parts in the reverse order.
