System Requirements
In order to use the Panafax Printing System Ver. 5e/6, the Printer Interface Option must be installed on the
Panafax Facsimile unit and verify that the Fax Parameter No. 59 (Parallel Port I/F) is set to “1:Enhanced Printer”.

In order to print at 600 dpi resolution, an optional Expansion D-RAM Card (per Table below) is required on the
Panafax Facsimile unit:

To use the Panafax Printing System Ver. 5e/6 printer driver for Windows, your system must meet the following
minimum requirements:

• A IEEE-1284 Bi-directional Parallel Cable
• Microsoft Windows 95, 98 or Windows NT 4.0

The Panafax Printing System does not support the DOS environment.

Customizing Your Machine
Your facsimile machine has a variety of adjustable Fax Parameters. These parameters, listed in the Parameter
Table, are preset for you and do not need to be changed. If you do want to make a change, read the table carefully.
Some parameters, such as the Resolution, Contrast, and Verification Stamp parameters, can be temporarily
changed by simple key operation just before a transmission is made. When the transmission ends, however, these
parameters return to their preset values (Home position). Other parameters can only be changed by the procedure
described below.
