Near Field Communication (NFC) and Bluetooth pairing instructions.
This software procedure allows you to replace an NFC Board or a Main Board in the ONYX.
IMPORTANT: This update must be performed in an ESD protected environment!
To perform this pairing, the following equipment is needed:
• Android NFC mobile phone
• Special Android App installed on mobile phone: TCL BT TAG Writer
The Android App is to be downloaded from the FTP server:
IP:ftp2.harman.com
Login: ServiceLevel1
Password: !s3rv1c3L
Direct access with a web browser:
ftp://servicelevel1:[email protected]/Service/Level1
Procedure:
1. Disassemble the ONYX.
2. Locate the BT-module (pos. U10) and the label with BT address on the Main board.
3. Turn on the special App already installed on the mobile phone.

4. Select BT Module Type - for ONYX select: BM153.
5. Scan the label on the BT-module into the MAC ADRESS line.
6. Press here to enter address manually.
In this case the BT address is:
6A8C9F
. Write – 00:1D:DF:
6A:8C:9F
7. In the app, enter the device name:
Onyx_BT
8. Power on the ONYX.

9. Press “Write to tag” and then move the NFC mobile phone close to the NFC point at the rear cover of the
ONYX.
10. When pairing is successful, the app will show a green ”V”
11. Reassemble and test the ONYX.
