APPENDIX A - REMOVING THE REAR COVER
REMOVING THE POWER CORD FROM THE
REAR COVER
The AC Power Cord is connected to the Power Supply Board and
then routed out through the Rear Cover. When removing the Rear
Cover use caution to avoid pulling the AC Power Cord which may
damage the cord.
Caution: These instructions should be followed whenever
removing the Rear Cover.
1. Remove all screws, include the screw in the AC cover,
from the Rear Cover.
(For detailed information, refer to
“Rear Cover
Removal” on page 41
.)
2. Using a small flat-head screwdriver, push the tab to the
right to lift out the Wireless Antenna Cover located on
the bottom right side of the Rear Cover.
3. Using gloves or a cloth for protection against the sharp
edges, grasp the corner of the Rear Cover from inside
the Wireless Antenna Cover and lift up.

4. After loosening the Rear Cover from the corner, you
should be able to lift the bottom of the Rear Cover off of
the Bezel.
Use caution not to damage the AC cord when lifting the
Rear Cover from the Bezel.
5. After lifting the bottom of the Rear Cover, grasp the AC
Power Cord while continuing to lift up the Rear Cover.
CAUTION: Do not pull the AC Power Cord or damage
the connector on the Power Supply Board.
6. Disconnect the AC Power Cord connector to detach it
from the Power Supply Board.
NOTE: To release the AC Power Cord from the Rear
Cover, release the clips on the inside of the Rear Cover
to detach it from the Rear Cover.

SUBJECT: 8 Blink Error Code
SYMPTOM:
SYMPTOM:
1. TV shuts down with an 8 blink error
2. 008 error code not in the service SELF CHECK list
3. 103 error code registers 8 blink error is in SELF
CHECK list
CAUSE::
8 blink could be caused by one of the following issues:

3. Skype Login Issue
4. Incompatible USB Device Plugged Inserted
5. Defective Main Board
8x blink code is mainly used during TV software development. Look
in TV’s service SELF CHECK for error code history and notice at the
bottom of the list WDT (Watch Dog Timer) error codes, in particular
notice 103 HOST_WDT.

will shut down and activate an 8x blink pattern on the Red Standby
LED.
