SECTION 3 - REPAIR INFORMATION

Locate and disconnect all connectors. Then remove all screws from
the Main Board Plate to detach.

Locate the K2 Board and remove 2 screws, then lift as shown to detach.

Locate and remove 4 screws from the Tuner Board, release the clip and
lift as shown to detach.

Locate and remove all screws from the Main Board, then lift as shown
to detach.

Install the new Main Board, K2 Board and/or Tuner Board, screws and
all connectors.

Remove 1 screw from the Cover, Under and lift as shown to release
the clips and detach.

Lift the Rear Cover as shown to remove.
REPLACING THE MAIN BOARD AND TUNER BOARD
The Main Board and Tuner Board used in this model are available for
repair. For Part Number information refer to
Section 4 - Exploded View/Part
Number Information on page 19.

Update the Software.
After ALL repairs UPDATE the SOFTWARE to the latest version.
Instructions are included with the Software package on the
Sony
Authorized Service Portal
website.
a.
Insert the USB device with the latest Software into one of the TVs’
USB ports.
b. Connect TV to AC power.
c.
Wait at least 20 seconds.
d. Press the Power button

on the TV to turn it ON.
e.
Wait until the Software update is completed.

To access
Service Mode, turn TV ON and OFF again then press
the following buttons within 1 second of each other:

Cycle AC Power (Unplug and plug AC Cord from the outlet).
REPLACING THE POWER SUPPLY BOARD
1.
Locate the Power Supply Board, disconnect all connectors and remove
screws, then lift as shown to detach.
2.
Locate the Sheet Insulation and lift as shown to detach.
3.
Install the new Power Supply Board, Sheet Insulation, screws and
connectors.
4.
Update the Software.
After ALL repairs UPDATE the SOFTWARE to the latest version.

Authorized Service Portal
website.
a.
Insert the USB device with the latest Software into the TV.
b. Connect TV to AC power.
c.
Wait at least 20 seconds.
d. Press the Power button
