CLEARING THE SELF CHECK DIAGNOSTIC LIST
Since the diagnostic results displayed on the screen are not automatically cleared, always check the self-diagnostic screen after you have 
completed the repairs to be sure you have cleared the result display to “0”.

1.  To exit the Self Diagnostic screen, turn off the power to the TV by pressing the POWER button on the remote or the POWER button on 
the TV.

1-2.  REAR COVER, UNDER COVER, VESA BRACKETS AND SWITCH UNIT REMOVAL
A   Remove screws from Rear Cover
9 from XBR-46HX909 Only
10 from XBR-52HX909 Only
B   Remove 5 screws from Rear Cover
C   Remove 1 screw from Rear Cover to detach from Terminal area
D   Remove 1 screw from Rear Cover to detach from Side Jack area
E   Disconnect 1 connector from R Board, then remove 2 screws to detach Hotel Assembly
from Rear cover.
F   Lift up Rear Cover from bottom side to detach from Bezel
G   Disconnect AC Inlet from G6A (Power) Board and detach from Under Cover
H   Lift up Under Cover to detach from Bottom Frame
I   Slide out Vesa Brackets to detach from Rear Cover (XBR-46HX909 Only)

1-3.  SPEAKERS, SPEAKER BRACKETS AND HLR BOARD REMOVAL
A   Lift up right Speaker Box Assembly to detach from Speaker Bracket
B   Remove 2 screws from right Speaker Bracket to detach from Bottom Horizontal Frame
C   Lift up left Speaker Box Assembly to detach from Speaker Bracket
D   Remove 2 screws from left Speaker Bracket to detach from Bottom Horizontal Frame
E   Disconnect 1 connector from HLR Board, then release clips and lift up to remove from Light Guide
Assembly
F   Remove 1 screw from Light Guide Assembly to detach from Bottom Horizontal Frame
