Changing the
Channel Preset
(CH PRESET)
setting
The CH PRESET menu allows you to
adjust the setup of your TV to receive
either CABLE TV or VHF or UHF
broadcast.
Using CABLE ON or OFF feature

Press MENU to display the
menu.

Press + or – to select CH
PRESET, then press
RETURN.

Press + or – to select
CABLE, then press
RETURN.

Press + or – to select ON or OFF, then press RETURN.
(1) If you select “CABLE : ON”, you will receive cable TV program.
If there is no cable TV programs, you will receive VHF or UHF broadcast
channel.
(2) If you select “CABLE : OFF”, you will receive VHF or UHF broadcast
channels only.

Self-diagnosis
function
Your TV is equipped with a self-diagnosis function. If there is a
problem with your TV, the STANDBY indicator flashes red. The
number of times the STANDBY indicator flashes indicates the
possible causes.

Check that the red flashes of the STANDBY indicator is about 3 seconds per
interval.

Count the number of times the STANDBY indicator flashes.

Press POWER to turn off your TV.
4
Inform your nearest Sony service center about the number of times the
STANDBY indicator flashes.
Be sure to note the model name and serial number located on the rear of
your TV.

Troubleshooting
If you find any problem while viewing your TV, please check the following guide. If
any problem persists, contact your Sony dealer .

inappropriate.
• The antenna direction is

• The TV is not turned on.
• The volume level is too
low.
• The sound is muted.
• Broadcast signal has a
transmission problem.
