3-3-4. T-CON Error (RED 5 times blink)
• This indicates that T-CON RDY signal is not detected.
– i.e. Timing controller of panel module is abnormal.
• BE board micro on FB2 board detects TCON_ERR.
– BE board micro 128Pin: Normal condition: High / Error case: Low
• Replace panel module.
3-3-5. Backlight Error (RED 6 times blink)
• This indicates LED backlight error.
• LB micro detects Backlight Error, and notifies BE board micro.
– Overheating temperature (temperature sensor on LT3 board)
– Communication error with temperature sensor on LT3 board
– Communication error with photo sensor on LP3 board
– Backlight error
• Backlight LED element
• LD3 board (backlight driver)
• G2P2 board (power supply for LD3s)
• BEM detects LBM No-Ack.
• When this error is detected with cool condition, replace panel module, LD3 board
or G2P2 board.

3-3-6. Temp Error (RED 7 times blink)
• This indicates high temperature inside chassis. IC001 on AE board side B is
monitoring temperature. BE micro control IC001 by I2C.
• When it happens:
– Check chassis environment
– Check around IC001 and replace AE board if temperature monitoring circuit
has problem.
– Check panel
3-3-7. Audio Error (RED 8 times blink)
• This indicates Audio Error (Protection).
• It happens:
– IC808 on AE board, audio amp. detects over current, thermal shutdown
and/or low voltage of itself.
– DC voltage detected for speaker line.
• Check above and replace AE board.

3-3-8. Fan Error (RED 9 times blink)
• This Error indicates abnormal fan condition.
• LB micro that controls fans detects this error, and notifies BE micro.
• Check 6 fans for backlight cooling.
– Replace the broken fan.
• Check fan drivers on LC3 board.
– LC3 has important adjustment data. Do not replace.
3-3-9. Communication Error
• TV micro (on AE board) is communicating with EMMA2LR (on FB2 board).
• If EMMA has any problems, TVM retries to communicate and waits the response of
EMMA. It will be timeout in about one minute, and TVM start power-up sequence w/o
communicating with EMMA. Then, picture appears, but No OSD.
– FB2 board
– PS3900, conduction.
– EMMA software upgrade error
– Rewrite software of EMMA.
• If it still NG, replace FB2 board.
