BU (Optical Block) Repair Guide
BDP 5G (BDP UNIT ASSY) series component structure is the same as conventional DVD Players.
However this BD player requires precise read out functions and also has a secure contents
Protection system.
Because of this requirement, it is necessary to set/adjust BU data to EEPROM.
Adjustment must be completed when;
(1)Replace BU (MB of BDP Unit is original)
(2)Replace MB of BDP Unit (BU is original)
(3)Replace both BU and MB of BDP Unit
(2)Replace MB of BDP Unit (BU is original)
(3)Replace both BU and MB of BDP Unit

Barcode decoder (5GBUJIG) installed in JIG PC’s
USB memory

Remove the defective BU from Loading Assy.
Also remove the BU dumpers (4pcs).

Unpack new parts and take Barcode

(tighten screw with 2kgf).
