1-4-9. Q Board (VPL-HS51)
Removal
1.
Remove the base assembly. (Refer to Section 1-3-1.)
2.
Remove the front panel (D) assembly.
(Refer to steps 2 to 4 of Removal (VPL-HS51) in
Section 1-3-2.)
3.
Remove the two screws, then remove the Q board.
4.
Disconnect the harness from the connector (CN5002)
on the Q board.
Installation
5.
Install the Q board in the reverse order of steps 3, 4.
6.
Assemble this unit in the reverse order of steps 1 and 2.

1-5. Replacing the Main Parts
1-5-1. DC Fan (for GA/GB unit)
Removal
1.
Remove the cabinet. (Refer to Section 1-3.)
2.
Remove the C board.
(Refer to steps 3 to 7 of Section 1-4-1.)
3.
Remove the lamp assembly.
(Refer to steps 2 and 3 of Section 1-5-2.)
4.
Remove the optical block assembly.
(Refer to step 5 of Section 1-5-3.)
5.
Remove the lamp house.
(Refer to step 6 of Section 1-4-6.)
6.
Remove the duct lamp assembly.
(Refer to step 6 of Section 1-4-8.)
7.
Remove the two screws, then remove the fan holder (G).
8.
Remove the two screws, then remove the DC fan (for
GA/GB unit).
Installation
9.
Attach the DC fan (for GA/GB unit) in the reverse
order of steps 7 and 8.
10. Assemble this unit in the reverse order of steps 1 to 6.

1-5-2. Lamp Assembly
Removal
1.
Loosen the screw [A], then remove the lamp cover
assembly.
2.
Loosen the three screws [B].
3.
Hold the lamp handle, then lift the lamp assembly
slowly.
Installation
4.
Attach the lamp assembly in the reverse order of steps
1 to 3.

When attaching the lamp assembly, be sure to securely
insert the connector [A] of the lamp assembly into the
connector [B] of the lamp house.
1-5-3. Optical Block Assembly
Removal
1.
Remove the cabinet. (Refer to Section 1-3.)
2.
Remove the C board.
(Refer to steps 3 to 7 of Section 1-4-1.)
3.
Remove the lamp assembly.
(Refer to steps 2 and 3 of Section 1-5-2.)
4.
Remove the lamp power supply board.
(Refer to steps 5 to 11 of Section 1-4-6.)
5.
Remove the three screws and two spacers, then
remove the optical block assembly.
Installation
6.
Attach the optical block assembly in the reverse order
of step 5.
7.
Assemble this unit in the reverse order of steps 1 to 4.

Removal
1.
Remove the cabinet. (Refer to Section 1-3.)

4.
Remove the optical block assembly.

x 12), then remove the
lamp house.
6.
Remove the two screws (BTP3 
x 12), then remove the
DC fan (for lamp).
7.
Remove the two screws (BVTP3 
x 6), then remove
the thermostat.
Installation
8.
 Attach the DC fan (for lamp) in the reverse order of
steps 5 to 7.
9.
Assemble this unit in the reverse order of steps 1 to 4.

Removal
1.
Remove the cabinet. (Refer to Section 1-3.)
2.
Remove the C board.
(Refer to steps 3 to 7 of Section 1-4-1.)
3.
Remove the lamp assembly.
(Refer to steps 2 and 3 of Section 1-5-2.)
4.
Remove the lamp power supply board.
(Refer to step 5 to 11 of Section 1-4-6.)
5.
Remove the optical block assembly.
(Refer to step 5 of Section 1-5-3.)
6.
Remove the two screws (BVTP3 
x 20), then remove
the fan cover (B) and DC fan (Sirocco) [A].
7.
Remove the five screws (BTP3 
x 12), then remove the
duct (panel).
8.
Remove the three screws (PTP4 
x 45), then remove
the DC fan (sirocco) [B].
9.
Remove the screw (BTP3 
x 12), then remove the TA board.
Installation
10. Attach the DC fan (for lamp power supply) and TA
board in the reverse order of steps 6 to 9.
11. Assemble this unit in the reverse order of steps 1 to 5.

6.
Remove the spring (P), then remove the out-polarizer
plate (R) assembly on the outgoing radiation side and
WV plate (1), (2).
7.
Remove the spring (P), then remove the out-polarizer
plate (G) assembly on the outgoing radiation side and
WV plate (1), (2).
8.
Remove the spring (P), then remove the out-polarizer
plate (B) assembly on the outgoing radiation side and
WV plate (1), (2).

Removal
1.
Remove the cabinet. (Refer to Section 1-3.)
2.
Remove the C board.
(Refer to steps 3 to 7 of Section 1-4-1.)
3.
Remove the lamp assembly.
(Refer to steps 2 and 3 of Section 1-5-2.)
4.
Remove the optical block assembly.
(Refer to step 5 of Section 1-5-3.)
5.
Remove the two screws (PWH M2 
x 5) and four
screws (B2 
x 8), then remove the prism block.
Installation
9.
Attach the prism block and WV plate (1), (2) in the
reverse order of steps 5 to 8.
10. Assemble this unit in the reverse order of steps 1 to 4.
