METHOD OF INSTALLING REAR CASE BLOCK ASSY.
LCD plate
Front case block assy
Hole of LCD plate
Rear case block assy
Screw
When install rear case block assy in front case block assy, 
hang screw head that has gone out from rear case block 
assy on the hole of LCD plate. 
Screw head interferes when installing usually and it is not 
possible to assemble. 
The changed portions from

Two fixed tape (ferrite core) is separately supplied to front 
case assy service. 
Put it referring to figure to fix the LCD power supply wire 
to LCD plate.

Put it referring to figure to fix on shield (MAI-006) and

METHOD OF WRITING AND UPGRADE OF
FIRMWARE
Note: Download the firmware from the homepage of ESI.
Writing of firmware
Execute writing the latest firmware when exchange the Rear Case
Block ASSY (including MAI-006 board).
If the firmware is not written, normal operation is not done.
Upgrade
Execute the upgrade when the enhance is necessary
Procedure
1. Download the firmware from the homepage of ESI.
2. Decompress the zip file and copy the entire \SONY folder
containing the firmware onto the root directory (most
significant hierarchy) of the Memory Stick.
(make sure that the .bin file is in \SONY\DPFSV folder).
3. Install Memory Stick in the Memory Stick slot of this unit
before turning on the power supply.
4. Connect AC adaptor (AC- L200) of accessories with this unit.
5. Push the power button while pushing the [VIEW MODE]
button of the main unit.
6. Release the buttons when a version up screen is displayed.
7. Confirm access LED changes into lighting after a few
minutes.
(End of upgrade).
8. Turn off power pushing the power button. (keeps pushing for
about one second.)
9. Remove Memory Stick from this unit.
10. Push the power button while pushing the [MENU] button and
the [ENTER] button. (The service mode starts.)
11. Release the buttons if an initial screen of the service mode is
displayed in LCD.
12. Confirm the figure of "CHECKSUM" (hexadecimal number)
is the same as the version of the firmware that has been
described in the homepage of ESI.
2. WRITING AND UPGRADE OF FIRMWARE

CONFIRMATION AFTER UPGRADE
1. Push the power button while pushing the [MENU] button and
the [ENTER] button. (The service mode starts.)
2. Release the buttons if an initial screen of the service mode is
displayed in LCD.
13. Turn off power pushing the power button.
1) Confirm the figure of "CHECKSUM" (hexadecimal
number) is the same as the version of the firmware that
has been described in the homepage of ESI.
2) Confirm the destination has not been changed.
(XX of "DPF- V900 (XX)" in uppermost screen steps
means destination)
3) When destination has changed, Change the destination
referring to following "Procedure of the destination
change"
2-3. PROCEDURE OF THE DESTINATION CHANGE
1. Push the power button while pushing the [MENU] button and
the [ENTER] button. (The service mode starts.)
2. Release the buttons if an initial screen of the service mode is
displayed in LCD.
3. Match the cursor to "Select Model" pushing the [
m] button
several times, and push the [ENTER] button.
4. Match the cursor with [
M] or [m] button for that wants to be
set destination and push the [ENTER] button.
5. Return to the first screen (screen where DPF-V900 (XX) is
displayed) pushing the [
M] button several times, and confirm
destination has changed.
6. Turn off power pushing the power button.
